This shouldn’t be called a “Cottage.” That would imply some degree of charm. Instead, this is a garage or annex building shoddily converted into a living space. Nothing appears finished. The counter and shelves are all uneven and mismatched. The tiny bathroom featured a shower head that sprays all over, mold in the shower and on the blinds. The upstairs section of the house stunk so strongly of molds and must that it was unusable. Friends that were planning to join us needed to find other accommodations. My wife left early due to the conditions. The owner must be aware as there were multiple “damp rid” products placed around the house. The only thing this place has going for it is the location. I was delighted to find many local coffee shops, restaurants and easy beach access as a way to escape the unclean, stinky, overpriced dump we rented.

Room is cute at first glance. The location is ideal and close to the beach. The cleanliness could improve gravely. The floors were dirty and the bedding + towels smell terribly of mildew. Only sleeps two because in my opinion the two mats provided for additional sleeping are not fit for people, they are covered in stains and pet hair.

It's an affordable cottage for a quick getaway. It could use some upgrading to make it more romantic but it is still comfortable and cozy. You park your vehicle right in front of the cottage below the deck. There are some stairs you must go up to enter the room. You have a nice little area outside to sit and look out at the water and smell the ocean air. It was a decent room and there is a jacuzzi as well. We did not use it but it was nice to have the option. The walk to the beach is short and relaxing. I would stay here again.

My family and I wanted to just stay in Cannon Beach for a couple of days. We found this home online. It’s a quirky cottage that reminds me of my families cabin in the Pecos , NM. So when we went into the cottage we felt right at home. It’s very close to the beach, with a short walk. A hidden path makes it fun. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, coffee pot, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. Has a roku tv and a jacuzzi in the living room. There is a queen bed in the living room, also a couch that converts into a bed with hidden sheets and pillows in the couch. We didn’t find them until the second day. The main bedroom is located upstairs, has a queen bed. The restroom is downstairs and is full of towels, shower gives nice hot showers after being on the shore. The cottage isn’t perfect, but it’s comfortable and gives you all you need to have a relaxing time. It is also close to coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. My family and I really enjoyed our time we spent here.

We travel to Cannon Beach annually and always stay here. The home is spacious and comfortable. The Laundry facilities are great as we travel with a large family. Beach access is directly behind the house. We couldn't ask for a better location. We will be back for many years to come. The home is early 1900's and makes it very quaint. Each year we return we notice the updates and upgrades and it gets better each time. Walking distance to all of cannon beach and the amazing restaurants and shopping. Definitely stay here!

Great location with a serious need for updating ! |Traveling with a girlfriend we stayed here for two nights in "the cottage". While it provides a great room-bedroom , soaking tub , kitchenette, bathroom , fake fireplace- as well as an additional loft bedroom, it is extraordinarily dated and worn. |With high season pricing I would've expected, at minimum, a welcoming coffee set up. |

I rented this from booking.com looking forward to a nice time at the beach. When I received my welcome email, telling how to get in - I also was notified that the laundryroom for the whole place is attached to the house I rented and used daily from 11-4. This is an issue for my autistic son, so I quickly let them know the laundry being done attached was not disclosed and we could not stay there. The owner said, "it is what is is, next time stay in Seaside." She said I had to deal with booking.com who said I needed to contact the owners - so if you have an issue with your booking here - be ready for a circus of circles.

We stayed in the Lighthouse, one of the room/house options for the weekend. The Guesthouse Inn was a little confusing as to what it really was and how it was divided, so we were pleasantly surprised that we were in a Studio like room above a garage. ||||A little about the property: ||It looks as though the lot was at one point a House with a "guesthouse cottage" in the back. They've turned it into 3 separate 'rentals'. Each rental has 1 parking spot located near each entrance. ||||The room: ||We stayed in the Lighthouse and it was a single room with a small kitchen (the appliances are really old (but they work) and the oven is a 1/2 oven. The Main window has a gorgeous view of the sunset, not quite the beach, but you can see where it is. This room has a Jacuzzi, and it is definitely the focal point. They've remodeled it with Rock steps, rock back splash with what looks like a waterfall feature, but not. It's deep and accommodates two comfortably. The bathroom is okay, single sink and single stall shower, tight fit...there are also more than enough towels. The bed is a queen, it's medium comfort, a little harder than we like, and the pillows could use some updating. We ended up purchasing pillows for our second night. note the Down comforter on the bed is feather, so if you're allergic, beware. ||Bring chairs and beach towels, and know that the BBQ that's mentioned is a small charcoal one, maybe fits 4-5 burgers||||Overall, the space worked, it was cute and in a good location to the beach. What i want to mention, is this is more of a VRBO type Inn...no room service, no coffee (though the coffee pot is there), and probably more suited for a longer stay, since they have a kitchen.
