I recently visited Grit + Grain for a mid-week dinner, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with the bread basket and crispy pork belly—both were deliciously southern, with the pork belly being perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

For our main courses, we had a diverse spread: the Grit + Grain House Burger with truffle fries, Cajun chicken pasta, and Ilene’s meatloaf. Each dish was bursting with flavor, but the burger stood out as our favorite—juicy, well-seasoned, and complemented perfectly by the rich truffle fries. The Cajun chicken pasta had a great balance of spice, and the meatloaf was comforting and satisfying.

Though we had no room for dessert, we couldn’t resist trying the drinks. The peach margarita was refreshing, but the real standout was the apple butter mule—it was absolutely perfect, with the apple butter giving it a uniquely smooth and flavorful twist.

Overall, Grit + Grain delivered an outstanding dining experience with bold flavors and a warm, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

My friends and I decided to try something different and came to Grit + Grain for my birthday and I will say it was THE BEST decision we made!!! Our waitress, Karen, was comical and honest!!! I absolutely loved this experience!

This place is so cute, the food is SUPER delicious and we received amazing and fast service. Our server, Maddy was so sweet and lovely, and we had an amazing time. I’d describe the food as a lighter (but still hearty) version of southern comfort food, and unique without taking it too far. And the cocktails were delicious too!

Such a lovely, cozy place to eat!! We went there for supper, such a delight!!! Service was outstanding and the food was so fresh, and was like having a gourmet home cooked meal!! The salad was over the top fresh, the lobster bisque was heavenly, and the pork chop was amazing!! Everything was so delicious we ate it all and had no room for the amazing desserts but we will definitely be back!!! The service was warm, genuinely friendly and pleasant and just relaxing!!!

Cozy atmosphere, ALL the food was fantastic, and was served promptly. Cocktails were just as good and I highly recommend the whiskey sour. Reasonably priced given the quality. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable as well.

I loved everything about this place...the aesthetics, the service, but especially the food! Their biscuits were excellent! But just when you think they can't be any better, try putting the honey lavender butter on them. Delicious! I also got the Grit flight. I've never seen anyone make grits 3 different ways like that. The grits were amazing! I have to come back just for the grits! My entree was the chicken pot pie, which was quite large, but it was very tasty. Can't wait to go there again and try other items from the menu.

We had the best experience at Grit and Grain for the first time this weekend! Not only was the food amazing, but so was our service. Karen was very attentive and SO much fun. We loved laughing with her all night. Will definitely be back!
