Stayed in the stand alone 2bd 2ba cabin next to the trout ponds, but because of the weather it was frozen so we couldn't fish.

Make sure to read the amenities so you know what's included in your stay. For example, I brought most of my kitchen items so we cooked all weekend. Brought my bathroom items, and brought a hot spot so you don't have to pay for Internet.

The outdoors and scenery is amazing if you want peace away from the city and electronics. At night the sky is beautiful, you can see all the stars and luckily it was the day the planets were aligned so we could see it with the naked eye. There's a ski resort and a town about 15-20min away if you want to do more activities.

Otherwise, it's a quiet cabin where you spend real quality time, catch up on books, and have those deep conversations type of getaway.

The cons for this stay was that you could tell the corners weren't dusted and the hot water runs out right away so you can't take a bath.

We stayed in one of the dog friendly cabins on the river. Super clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable! Easy walk to restaurants and hiking trails. Easy drive to fishing both on the reservation and national forest lakes. We loved it so much we booked another week in June. This could become a yearly stay for us!

THE GOOD:
Beautiful location on the river.
Awesome deck on the cabin (#96).
Nice furniture.
Comfortable bed.
Loved having a BBQ.

THE BAD:
Not a brand new cabin as stated on website.
Refrigerator was missing a shelf and had no light.
Broken kitchen faucet (they replaced after we told them).
Broken/noisy toilet.
Ceiling fans look as though they have NEVER been dusted. Pretty gross.
Playground needs a lot of TLC.
WiFi is $20 a day and not good.

First of all I want to make it clear that the two people we reported things to were very friendly and fixed the immediate problems as best they could. That being said cabin 83 was HORRIBLE!||*The downstairs heater was set to 71 and only ever made it up to 65 the two nights we were there. We arrived at 3:30 PM and it was 60 in the cabin. By the time we went to bed it was only 63. The next morning it was 65 but we had NO hot water. We went to the lodge and the lady said that the pilot blows out "all the time in cabin 82 and they don't know why". Cabin 82 was next door to us. She relit it and we had hot water by about 2:00 PM. We were told "the heater takes awhile to work", it never did work.||*The back to one of the old 'recliners' completely fell off when we scooted it out from the wall to use.||*We had 3 adults and one child. The bathroom had 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel and two dirty towels, folded under the sink. There was 1 container with about 1/2" hand soap in the bathroom. NO bath soap or toiletries. The kitchen had zero towels of any kind.||*We made coffee only one morning, cleaned the pot, maker and everything around it and went out. By the time we got back there was 'dirty coffee water ALL over the counter. The maker kept leaking water from somewhere even after the 1/2 dozen times we cleaned it up.||*The Direct TV kept telling us that the remote needed new batteries, it barely worked and it was too late to go to the office. Almost EVERY channel on Direct TV was pay for view or sign up. We went the next day to the office and picked up 5 DVDs only to discover that the DVD player was broken. We called the office at 4:00 and got no answer, also called the cell # that we were given and got no answer. One of us drove to the office at 4:20 and it was closed. Everything said that they were open until 5:00 PM. Called again and left a message at 4:24 with a number to call us, we never heard back from anyone. We ended up not watching anything. Try entertaining a five year old for two freezing nights. Internet was $20 a night. The website said "internet available" but the $20 fee was hidden in the FAQs. Deceiving.....||*The knob to turn the water on in shower/tub barely worked. It took me 5 minutes to get it unstuck and turned on. It would be impossible for a child or weak person to turn on. The shower curtain was hanging from four holes, the others were ripped, and filthy dirty as was the tub. Dirty, filthy bathroom door, wood blinds made to fit a door were jammed into a 2 foot bathroom window. Charming.......not.||*There was a very wobbly floor lamp in the LR area, almost afraid to use it. The same as several of the outlets, they all looked like electrical disasters waiting to happen.| |*The morning we left we were woken up by an extremely loud bang at 5:45 AM. A very loud noise continued until 6:05 AM. All we could figure was it may have been the upstairs heater.||* We left the cabin at 7:30 AM and sent a text to the lodge at 7:34 AM. They had been communicating with us via text before we arrived for our stay. I kind of expected a reply text at least, but nope, nothing.||*Very disappointed. I grew up in a family owned cabin rental business in the mountains of Southern Colorado. I know what it takes to keep cabins maintained, spotlessly clean, in working order and well equipped etc. Cabins that were quint, charming, had tons of character in spite of their very old age. We were proud of our cabins. I would be ashamed and embarrassed if I was the family who owned the Greer Lodge cabins. And I would hope that the other cabins aren't as bad as 83.

Cabin was dirty
Kitchen was not fully stocked with utensils.
Couldn't even make eggs with the rusty filthy pan left there. You had maybe 2 fork to share with 6 people.
This is like a bad Airbnb with so many rules and they nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING...

Greer Lodge Resort offers a serene getaway nestled in the White Mountains of Arizona. Surrounded by lush pine forests and tranquil lakes, the resort provides the perfect environment for relaxation and outdoor activities. The rustic charm of the cabins combined with modern amenities makes it a comfortable retreat for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

One of the standout features of Greer Lodge is its picturesque location. The resort is beautifully situated near Little Colorado River and a handful of pristine lakes, offering guests opportunities for fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. In the winter, the nearby Sunrise Park Resort is great for skiing and snowboarding, while the summer months bring an abundance of scenic trails for hiking and biking. The cabins themselves are well-maintained, spacious, and equipped with fireplaces, providing a cozy ambiance, especially during colder months.

The staff at Greer Lodge Resort are attentive and friendly, making check-ins seamless and providing helpful local tips. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, where they can disconnect from city life, as the cabins are well-spaced for privacy and quiet. Wifi is available for $20/day. Verizon and T-Mobile service are OK at best in cabin 90. Our cabin didn't come with an iron or ironing board. We had requested both but only an iron was delivered. A towel on the island made an ok board.

While the resort excels in offering a peaceful retreat, it may not be ideal for those seeking a bustling nightlife or high-end dining experiences. The focus here is on nature and tranquility, which makes it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts or anyone looking for a slower pace.

Overall, Greer Lodge Resort offers a perfect blend of rustic charm, comfort, and outdoor adventure, making it a top choice for those seeking a relaxing and scenic getaway in Arizona.

We can’t thank the Greer Lodge staff enough for our wonderful stay! It was a perfect getaway for our little family. Our cabin was right on the river. I really enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the river, very peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. It was perfect if you’d like to just stay cooped up in the cabin or be outdoors, we did a little bit of both. We live in Phoenix so it was nice to get out of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet. My wife had to drag me out of there, I could have stayed forever! Again thank you for accommodating us and going beyond our expectations. We will be back very soon!
