I had an interaction with one of the employees working for Grandpappy Point Resort as one of the Four Seasons Guide Service personnel. He was incredibly rude to me shouting all sorts of verbal assaults and homophobic remarks. All this because I kindly asked him to turn his music down while I had my phone recording in my hand. So much hate coming from an employee sends the wrong message and stains any and all reputation you have. After I stopped recording he proceeded to call me a cock sucker. As someone who is part of LGBTQ+ community his homophobic remarks were uncalled for and deeply out of line.

If you are looking for a resort hotel, look elsewhere. This is about solid, clean cabins, for time with family and time away from work. We have a boat and docko at Grand Pappy's. It was a good decision to buy the boat and docko.

I really enjoyed camping here. The staff is awesome and their restrooms are always clean (excluding the females restroom) but that is due to the disgusting female guest that goes there and destroys their bathrooms. If you want to eat at their restaurant make sure you have some money because it is not cheap at all. But this place is awesome for camping.

The "cheap rooms" are just that... cheap (and I use that word sarcastically). For $200.00 a night, stay in a motel in town. The mattresses seem 30 years old. it had a "V" in the middle so your bodies rolled into that point. They had some kind of plastic covering on the mattresses and pillows so every time you moved, it sound like you were crunching a potato chip bag! Luckily we brought our own pillows. The rooms were freezing! We found the thermostat outside on the back of the cabin... adjusted it to a warmer temperature, but because it was outside, it automatically adjusted to the HOT outside temp and we froze all night. Had to keep adjusting it to have a consistent temperature.|We won't stay there again. The pictures of the "nice" rooms are the "high end" prices so don't expect the $200.00 ones to look like that. We can find a place worth the $600.00 plus dollars we paid for 3 nights.

Even though we were told the rooms were just cleaned, we found hair on toilet, in the beds and on the towels. The towels are paper thin. We had to ask for toilet paper and half of the light bulbs were missing. For $175 a night, I expected a little more. Not a place that I will return to.

We spent the Memorial Day holiday weekend with a family reunion at Grandpappy Resort. The facilities were fantastic and the staff was more than helpful. We stayed in the 4 bedroom, and it was perfect for our family of 9. Close to everything, but far enough away to be quiet.

I’d been looking for a place for 11 of us as we were having a memorial service for my dad on Lake Texoma, the place that we stayed when we were younger wasn’t available and no place else could accommodate as many people as we had. I was just about to give up I found Granpappy’s Point. We all absolutely loved it. The rooms were great, the check in was awesome. We have no complaints at all!!! I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone!

I very much enjoyed my overnight in one of the cabins. I also enjoyed driving down to the lake and eating at the Point Restaurant. While on the restaurant patio i got some kind of sting and the staff was quick to respond and help me relieve it. Food was a little pricey but delicious and staff was friendly. The cabin was very bare bones but spotlessly clean, had cable TV, fridge, microwave and outside fire pit , grill and table. Bed was VERY comfortable. I would stay again.
