Wife visits often. Can’t say enough great things about this place. The lady is super sweet and we love that she gives us a couple of extra fortune cookies for the kids. Also, if she sees my wife has the kids in the car she will come out and get payment and then come back with food and card. Just the most wonderful customer service someone could ask for.

Valerie is on one, y'all, don't listen to that review. The breaded chicken is amazing, so crispy and the chicken isn't dried out. Egg rolls are my favorite of my entire life. Someone said the egg rolls were frozen out of a grocery store, if that is the case please tell me which one because I would never eat another egg roll again if I always had access to these.

I love this place and always will. It's a gem, and the woman working is so nice and sweet. Oh and the prices are hella affordable. I live in a big pretentious city on the West Coast and having an entire entree with 2 sides for less than $10 is completely impossible there. I bought two meals with sides, two soups and three drinks and it was still less than $30.

Quit your bellyaching and stuff your face with this GOOD FOOD. or move to Seattle and cry at food that is double the price only half as good as Golden Crown.

Put your Nikes on and run! Just DONT do it! Absolutely horrible, not only did it have no flavor but the Kung Pau chicken should’ve been labeled Kung Pau celery. When I informed the lady there was no chicken in it she says, “oh well, that’s how that dish is served- mostly vegetable…” not only that, but there is no hot tea available, and there are no servers, you order your food, and then you go sit down and they bring it to you in the to go containers. Eggrolls were straight out of a frozen package. You are better off going to the grocery store and buying some food to microwave.

I am writing this to tell you that the women that runs the counter in this place is super nice she is so patient and sweet and the food! Don’t even get me started! I took my mom there because we were running around we got the orange chicken steamed potstickers and shrimp lo-mein and everything was brought out and smelled amazing but the taste. Oh my, it tasted phenomenal the best lo-mein I have ever had. So what people complain that it takes a hot minute to get the food, so what it’s served in styrofoam trays so what it’s not brought out to you on a silver platter any day of the week I would trade all of those for her hard work and amazing service and the taste of that chicken, the taste of those noodles, just amazing nothing I have tried before has beaten that.

Just an amazing set of people there.

She asks you if you want it spicy she explains the individual spices and she tells you that you can order extra if you want!

New to Vermilion and trying Chinese restaurants in the area. I must say the Golden Crown is by far the best one yet! I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken combination with Hot & Sour Soup. I asked for the chicken to be spicy as other reviewers said it was mild. Mine came out just right with lots of tasty chicken and perfectly done veggies. The star of the meal was the Hit & Sour soup! Delicious! Most soups from the previous restaurants I’ve ordered from were very bland and some weren’t even recognizable as Hot & Sour soup, but this was just what it was supposed to be. Portion size for both were generous and was a good value for the money. My order was ready when I arrived and the staff was very friendly. I will make this one of my go to places in Vermilion and recommend it to all who crave good Chinese food!

People seem to like this place. I placed an order and there was a regular stream of people coming to pick up orders. The cashier was friendly and seemed to know all of these folks. So, they must be regular patrons.

As for my wife and me, we were not impressed. The veggies were overcooked, the Szechuan was too sweet and lacked the heat we expect in this dish. Also, my wife's order barely had any chicken in it.

Overall, this was just okay Asian American food. We are moving to Vermilion and will continue our search for Chinese food to our liking at other restaurants.

I have been a long time patron 15 years, I order the same thing all the time cashew chicken with white rice and egg roll. This time I got fried rice which is OK, I called the owner to let her know but I should’ve waited and look at my whole meal, I also noticed that I only had about three pieces of chicken maybe eight piece of cashews and a whole lot of vegetables. My egg roll was covered in my meal’s sauce which I prefer to put duck sauce on my egg roll, which at that point I didn’t because of the amount of meal sauce all of my egg roll. I understand that things are expensive, but I wasn’t impressed with the shortage I noticed this time. Hopefully they will get their quality control back and present a better meal in the future. 🥺
