We stayed in October 2024. I was making olive oil crostinis today and it reminded me of the unmatched afternoon snacks available here. Mine will never be as good. Breakfasts also amazing.

The house. Amazing. Beautiful. Every detail immaculate. Rooms, beds, bathrooms (luxurious!) white glove clean.

And the staff. How could one describe their effort other than super human. They don't work it like a job. Every interaction (special afternoon tea or roses in the room, breakfast and afternoon service especially) was attentive and friendly.

This isn't just a place to stay it is an experience. Worth every penny and more. I wish I was nearby with any frequency because I want to go back again and again.

Olivia, the inn keeper, and her staff are absolutely amazing. We stayed this past weekend, leaving 4/12/25, and our stay was delightful. Guests were pleasant and the inn has such a pleasant ambience. The breakfasts and late afternoon wine and cheese were lovely. I definitely will go back!

we stayed here for the city wide garage sale. And my wife loves Victorian style. Our stay was awesome. The rooms very clean, and well kept. The staff worked very hard to make our experience a good one. And they succeeded. We really enjoyed tea time , it was perfection. The breakfasts we enjoyed were top notch. The inside of the mansion is incredible and every room reflects that. The only thing that needs improvement, is the grounds. It requires quite a bit of maintenance. We will definitely stay there again if we get an opportunity.

Wonderful wonderful place... However, please edit your 'sister site info'... On your site is says that your Sister site, 'lost coast Ranch'... That is a Mistake, your sister site is called 'Lost coast Estate'.
I spent alomost 1.5 hours investigating that little snafoo...
Of course if im wrong, my apologies, however if you look into this you just might see for yourself... The L.C. 'Ranch' and the L.C. 'Estate' are 2 very differant places... One is a cattle ranch a ways south of Ferndale, in the Petrolia Area. And the other is close by, in Ferndale and not far from the 'Gingerbread Mansion Inn'...
Thanks... Love you all... Hope to see you all soon...

Olivia was incredible! The Lilac room was everything I could have ever dreamed of with a tub in the room!😍 Beautiful lilac coloring everywhere you looked, gorgeous glass window, a killer view from the room, and the entire place is beautiful! The garden was magical to explore and the tea and coffee were delicious. Breakfast felt so fancy and it was just the most comfortable experience ever! We even had a late night check in and it went SO smoothly. Will be staying here again!

The exterior of the building has loads of Victorian charm. The interior of the building extends that Charming decor. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The Establishment is squeakly clean. We stayed in the room with the working fireplace and they had a log ready for us it was so charming. In the evening we sat on the upstairs back porch and had a cocktail which we we picked up in town. Dinner was at the Mexican restaurant and was very good. Unfortunately we had missed High Tea but we enjoyed breakfast which was unique and unusual. We had chia seed pudding with fruit and a blueberry muffin with orange juice tea and coffee. The Chia seed pudding which I have made once and thought was disgusting, was good enough that I asked for the recipe!! The blueberry muffin was to die for! There was plenty of hot water for the shower. The bed was comfy. Overall a Charming experience!

Fun and different overnight accommodations just off the beaten path on the way down the 101.
B&B’s and small inns are not the norm for us on road trips, and the Gingerbread Mansion was a nice change of pace to break up two days of driving between Eugene and Sonoma County.
Stepping inside was like a portal to the past, and we arrived just as tea time was starting, complete with light snacks or wine if you prefer.
Olivia showed us around before we dropped out bags and settled in. The home feels much like it must have 100 years ago, but not in a bad way at all. Gas fireplaces warmed the comfortable evening temps, and we sat outside on the ground floor terrace connected to our room before logging on to do some work in the common space.
There is a lot of literature and info of local interest, and other guests sat around chatting in the spacious downstairs parlor space.
The neighborhood was extremely quiet and peaceful, and we didn’t hear a peep from anyone else at any point in the night.
We opted for the 8am breakfast shift and enjoyed a prepared meal and coffee before a leisurely check out.
The Garden Room bed was comfy, there was great water pressure, and we were glad to be able to store a few things in the common fridge overnight.
The pace of travel won’t always allow for us to downshift to the speed of a relaxing stay like the Gingerbread, but we were glad we decided to stay here and would consider doing so again if our travels bring us back through the area.

Love the town. The houses, shops and hotels all really nice! Always worth a visit…
The Gingerbread Mansion is so beautiful and they serve an afternoon ‘Tea’ with wine and Tea and delicious bites both savory and sweet….included with your stay.
Also included is a full breakfast in a lovely dining room.
The rooms not occupied were open to guests to walk through.
So much history preserved throughout the whole town.
