My family loves this place. The staff is always friendly. The doughnuts are fresh and made daily. I recently came in and ordered the pinecone doughnut, it was delicious! My other favorite doughnut is the maple 'bacon" covered one! It's both sweet and savory! It hits every taste bud 💥! This place has an inviting atmosphere, the owners are amazing, and the doughnuts are great!

I understand that every establishment can have off days. Supporting small businesses is something I truly believe in, and I take great pride in doing so. However, I admit that I hold small businesses to a higher standard. To compete with large corporations like Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’, which have the resources to mass-produce and dominate the market, smaller privately-owned businesses must deliver products and services that set them apart and leave a lasting impression.

When we first moved to BM, I was thrilled to discover and support local businesses in the area, including Giggle Monsters. It didn’t take long to try their offerings, and I was initially impressed by the creative variety they offered, which felt artisanal and enticing. However, just as certain establishments are defined by their staples—like fried chicken at a chicken-focused eatery or brisket at a BBQ joint—getting the basics right is crucial. For a donut shop, perfecting the classic raised glazed donut is essential.

During our first visit, the raised glazed donut was decent—perhaps a 3 out of 5. The excitement of finding a local donut shop likely overshadowed its somewhat dry texture. Other offerings, such as the cake donuts and some of the variety-topped raised donuts, were better, earning a 4 out of 5. Not bad at all. Unfortunately, subsequent visits revealed issues that began to detract from the experience. These included food safety concerns, such as personal items placed on food surfaces, employees sampling products without washing their hands before returning to food handling, and instances of cross-contamination, both chemical and physical. Having worked as a Store Director for a large grocery chain, I am particularly attuned to these issues because they can make people sick.

Over time, my visits became less frequent—dropping from once or twice a month to only occasionally—and my opinion of the shop declined. Despite my hopes for improvement, not much changed. In fact, the quality of their staple raised glazed donut diminished further, dropping to a 1 out of 5, and the donuts themselves became smaller.

During my most recent visit, the experience was disappointing on multiple fronts. The employee assisting me appeared rushed, and her attire was not appropriate for the setting—something that might concern parents bringing children in. Most concerning, however, were the donuts themselves. They were the worst I’ve ever had from this establishment. They resembled mass-produced, frozen, then thawed donuts you’d find at a supermarket in plastic grab-and-go containers. The glaze was cracked, the texture was dry, and their size was smaller than even gas station donuts. They looked so unappetizing that they appeared as though someone had already taken a bite out of them.

It’s disheartening to see that the management has not addressed these ongoing issues. There are other reviews online that echo similar concerns, highlighting the decline in quality, repeat food safety violations, and inconsistent service. In stark contrast, Ray's Donuts sets the gold standard for both product quality and customer service. Their ability to consistently deliver fresh, delicious donuts with exceptional service demonstrates what is possible when a business prioritizes excellence. Giggle Monsters could certainly learn something from their competition.

I appreciate your passion for your business, but your response is not only unprofessional, but also speaks to a lack of commitment to improve or value the feedback of your customers. Instead of addressing the issues I mentioned, you opted to resort to baseless accusations of "trolling" and being "paid" to give this review. That's wild! I have the right to share my honest opinion and make comparisons to other establishments to provide a comprehensive review. For potential customers, I hope this exchange highlights the importance of addressing concerns with professionalism and respect rather than resorting to baseless accusations.

I am not sure if this was a special promotion, or something they always offer, but we received a free 2 lb birthday donut! The kids (and my husband) LOVED it! This is now going to be a special treat reward as well as a birthday treat every year. Can't wait to try their regular donuts. And I have to mention, the owner was so kind.

Out of all the things that changed during a recent transition to gluten free life style, we missed donuts the most because there aren’t easy substitutes from the grocery store. Giggle Monsters is not only educated in GF awareness, they make DELICIOUS GF DONUTS!!

They were very helpful when I placed an order and we used the donuts to substitute for cake at a celebration. Thank you very much to Giggle Monsters for accommodating our dietary needs and making an impressive product. We will be back! It was worth a 45 minute drive each way!

Basic donuts with fancy toppings.
They were very good, but the staff are distracted and flaky. Ours took our order, entered it in good payment then answered the phone and walked away for a few minutes. Apparently another employee couldn't get in the back door. No apology for the delay, just asked for my payment then. Strange vibe on a Sunday afternoon.
We hope to give them another they soon.

I am a teacher and our admin was kind enough to get this as a food truck. It was SO good, it mad my day infinitely better. The cinnamon sugar was delicious and the red velvet had such a rich and creamy topping. I was delighted to find out there is a physical store. May have to find that.

This place was amazing! The owner was super down to earth, patient while we figured out what we wanted and the best part in my eyes, employs people with down syndrome. The extra freshness, care, presentation and love in each donut could not have been achieved by an inferior 2 chromosome human. 5 stars for real.
