Normally I wouldn't do this, but I had to cancel a reservation on short notice due to a child being hospitalized. I explained everything over the phone to a very nice lady. She notified the owners, who said no refunds and no reschedule. Again, I understand policies exist for a reason. But a little human decency and compassion go a long way too. I will be looking elsewhere when I am able to reschedule this night away with my wife.

Edit to add. Your response just confirms that human decency is not something that you have any clue about. Enjoy your free $207. Like I said, I don't normally post bad reviews ever, but people have a right to know what kind of operation is being run, so they can think twice about spending their money with you.

My husband and i went her for a weekend. It was absolutely amazing! The cabin was cozy, clean and beautiful! The bed was soft, pillows fluffy and sheets soft. Shower was phenomenal!!!!!!! You can tell the staff take amazing care of the cabins and want the guests to feel comfortable.

We stayed in Cabin #35 (Last Night) & it exceeded all of our expectations! It was such a relaxing getaway for my birthday! My husband surprised me with it & we enjoyed every moment. The hot tub was perfect in the cold weather. The bed was comfy & we loved the decor. Everything was absolutely perfect! Thank you!

This place was secluded and quiet. Unfortunately, it was completely invested with stink bugs and wasps. It was very dusty and long brown hairs in the floor, bathroom, and on the bedding. It didn’t look like the sheets were clean and the hot tub had a small area of “dirt” on the bottom. |I would not recommend this place.

Staff were so lovely and kind. Even in the snow they managed to stay in good communication and provide clean lines for our extended stay. The views were breathtaking, the cabin was absolutely refreshing as a vacation, and the amenities were exactly what we wanted.

We always stay with Getaway Cabins for our Hocking Hills Adventures! This was our first stay at cabin #33 Scenic View, plenty of space for our kids and our dog was very comfortable. We love the location, peaceful and quiet. Beds were comfortable, loved the indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces.

My wife and I had been to Getaway Cabins many times through the years without any troubles. However, this time storms had passed through the day we were to check in. The power was out to the cabin when we got there around 4pm. We stayed till after 9pm but still no power and it was getting into the 30s that night. They sent out an email saying if the power was out not to call them because they couldn't do anything about it. The next day when we called they said the power was back on and we should have called them. They refused to give us any kind of refund. We will not be going back. The email also said there was a flashlight and emergency candle in the cabin. There was no flashlight and the candle (liquid type) had no wick and could not be used.

My husband and I had a wonderfully QUIET time for our anniversary stay. Everything was clean and fresh on our arrival. We appreciated the note of welcome and the cleanliness of the facility. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Getaway Cabins for making our experience special!
