My husband and I had our wedding reception at Georgia Palms and Gardens on Valentine's Day 2025. The B&B has a lovely ballroom that was the perfect size for our intimate gathering with close family and friends. Mimi and her team were helpful with the whole process! She even recommended a photographer, DJ and a caterer -- all were wonderful. We were also granted a room to freshen up after our courthouse ceremony and stay the night after partying it up at our reception. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a quaint, all-inclusive, charming wedding ceremony and/or reception.

Peaceful, welcoming home. The beautiful stately building is a landmark in itself, which is only enhanced by the hospitality and kindness of the staff. I was greeted warmly for breakfast after a late night check-in, which was smooth and easy due to the clear instructions provided the day of my arrival. Parking is ample, and the walk to the house is well lit. My room was spotlessly clean and well appointed and I had everything I needed, including extra blankets in the closet. Breakfast is downtime comfort food and fresh hot coffee, served in the brightly lit front room. I felt secure and relaxed for my entire stay. This is my second time staying at GPG and I look forward to visiting again in the future. Great fit for a business traveler looking to escape the austerity of modern hotels.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this bed and breakfast. I arrived around 6:30 pm to find no staff present and no prior check-in instructions. I called the provided number at 6:39 pm, but no one answered. A fellow guest kindly gave me the owner’s cell phone number, which the owner had used to provide her check-in details. I called the owner’s cell 5 times with no response.

At 6:52 pm, the host, Jackie, arrived and called the owner on my behalf. After two attempts, she finally reached the owner, who claimed she couldn’t contact me because I booked through a third party. If it hadn’t been for Jackie, we likely wouldn’t have gotten into our room at all. The owner never contacted me directly or apologized for the inconvenience.

At 7:07 pm, Jackie checked in with us again and informed me that the owner had noted our reservation as being for 2 people, which was incorrect since it was made for 4. Additionally, the property is far from what is advertised—it's very old and in need of serious maintenance.

While Jackie was helpful, the overall experience was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This venue is amazing! The plantation house was absolutely stunning, surrounded by pretty flowers and trees that added to its charm. The timeless getting-ready space was perfect for capturing those getting-ready moments before the ceremony. The clean white reception area was an elegant touch to the festivities. Mimi and Kim were helpful every step of the way, ensuring everything ran smoothly and everyone had what they needed. If you're dreaming of a beautiful venue with exceptional staff, Georgia Palms and Gardens is the place to be!

It may be a good place for weddings but I would not recommend it for spending a night as a solo traveler. The room did not look like the pictures and it was a 2 star accomodation at best with no one onsite to monitor the property. There were other guests who arrived late at night and were very noisy and they actually tried to enter my room. There was noise until 3 am and the walls are paper thin. The host was nice and checked in with me several times but I would never stay there again.

Scary place avoid at all costs. It is extremely outdated and dusty. My lamp barely worked. The heat wasn’t on despite it being 48 degrees that night. I blew a fuse so many times I was afraid to plug anything in. There were pubes in my sheets upon arrival. No one present except for a suspicious man lurking around. Got locked out and had to call a man who became angry with me on the phone. No breakfast. No easy parking you have to walk through trees next to the dumpster.

An absolute nightmare it is the Bates Motel. No heat, barely any blankets. Pubes in my sheets upon arrival. Blew a fuse so many times I was afraid to plug anything in. Locked myself out accidentally and an angry gentleman “assisted” me on my phone with going through a different entrance. I was alone the first night but there was a suspicious man lurking around. Scary. Had to park far away from the building despite a vacant closer parking spot. No breakfast.

I had my beautiful wedding there. The venue is beautiful and perfect for wedding. The staffs were very nice and helped us every way possible. They helped us to run our wedding smoothly and was very flexible with the schedules.
