Georgia Comfort Kitchen offers a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. Our waiter, Wyatt, greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. The restaurant was clean and cozy, adding to the overall experience.

For appetizers, I had the crab cakes, which were well-prepared with green and red onions and real crab meat .... My entree was fried shrimp 🍤, mac & cheese, and fried okra. The portion sizes were impressive, but the dishes could use more seasoning.

My wife had the salmon with mashed potatoes and buttered corn, which also lacked seasoning and garnish. I shared my feedback with the chef and manager, and I hope that future visits will have better seasoning.

Overall, I recommend giving Georgia Comfort Kitchen a try. The potential is there, and with a bit more attention to flavor, it could be fantastic.

We recently dined at Georgia Comfort Kitchen, and while we were excited to try their Southern-inspired menu, our experience was mixed.

I ordered the Pick 2 Fish Entree, choosing catfish and the catch of the day. Unfortunately, the catfish was quite bland, but with some added hot sauce, it became more flavorful. The catch of the day tasted like frozen fish rather than fresh, which was disappointing considering the menu's promise of quality Southern seafood. The collard greens was a mush, the mac and cheese was dry, the corn bread was fantastic.

The highlight of the meal was the Bear Smash Burger, which my husband ordered. It was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Definitely the best thing we had that evening!

One surprising (and disappointing) item was the fried chicken side. The menu listed it as a side for $5.95, but what we received was just one small piece of chicken thigh—definitely not worth the price. It felt like the most expensive piece of fried chicken I’ve ever had.

On the bright side, the service was great. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made the experience more pleasant. However, it was noticeable that the restaurant was empty at 8 PM on a Tuesday night.

Overall, Georgia Comfort Kitchen had some hits and misses. While the burger and service were great, the seafood and value for certain items left a lot to be desired. We were hoping for a more authentic Southern comfort food experience, but it didn’t quite meet our expectations.

Pickup was quick and efficient with friendly staff whether in downtime afternoon or busy Friday.
The roasted Brussels sprouts are classic and delicious! Shrimp and grits are done very well. Brunswick stew is not my dish though-it is a bit too heavy and too much artificially flavored.

I went back to order Brussels sprouts and paired with chicken salad sandwich as entree-refreshing and delicious for a hot day.

Lots of locals come in on Friday and you know this is a sign of a genuinely good restaurant!

What a surprise! Best fried shrimp ever. Don't pass up the crispy golden balsamic brussel sprouts. Very affordable, the plate you see here was under $20. Family friendly, but also date night ready! Full bar. Staff was friendly and attentive. Coviently located within walking distance of several nice hotels. If you are coming to Savannah, this is a must go! ♥️

First time here a few days ago. Super cute restaurant! Very friendly & efficient customer service & delicious food with many southern home cooked options to choose from as well as a variety of other dishes. My husband had the meatloaf, I had the Salmon BLT & my mom had the country fried steak... So good!!
We went on a Wed, which is apparently when they have bingo with prizes from 4 til around 5:30ish, I think. Lots of fun! Plenty of parking. We'll definitely be back! Don't miss out on this place. They also have a lunch buffet & offer catering.

On the road, glad I stopped to eat here rather than more fast food. I had the meatloaf, which was really good and seasoned nicely. My wife's steak, though, could've used a bit of salt and pepper. Really nice waitress and was a lovely setting. Do recommend.

Good southern cooking. Everything was good and the service was good. Our server, Jenna, quickly served up nice hot meals with a warm, friendly smile.

I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes, french fries, and fried orka. My wife had chicken tenders, fries, and collard greens.

We both agreed that the food was good and the portion size good, but the plate was lacking any seasoning, it seemed. My wife reported the chicken tenders with the honey mustard dip and was excellent along with the collards.

We don't live here, but I would certainly visit this place again.

Everything about the place was perfection. The host was so enthusiastic, professional, and friendly. Keep him at the front! He welcomes everyone in such a way that makes you excited to be there. The bartender, Matt, was very knowledgeable and kind. He served us as we waited on our table. The food, the waitresses, the atmosphere—exceptional. We were told about bingo night, seafood night, etc. I live 20 minutes away, but I’ll definitely come back for bingo nights. I’m a loner and only came to try the food with a friend as he passed through town, but because I’m closer—I will be back. Often. Everything was delicious!!!!! Please see picture of all I ate. Highly, highly, highly recommend!
