My husband and I decided to try Gecko Grill on a whim for our Valentine’s Day dinner. Upon our arrival, we were immediately greeted and were informed it would be a short and reasonable wait. The atmosphere was very pleasant, warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the decorations and color scheme. Once seated, our server Kurt, delivered excellent service throughout our visit. The chips and dips were very good, the drinks were great and the food was delivered at an exceptionally fast rate. We were quite impressed and satisfied with the quality of the food. Kurt provided just the right amount of time during his check ins and was very pleasant as our waiter. We highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely be returning again in the future.

My servers name was Jake, he was way better than "Jake from State Farm." Had the Green chili burrito with a fried egg in the middle. It was amazing. They also bring out fresh bean dip with the chips and salsa. Wonderful experience: looking forward to my next visit!

Food was ok. It's been a while since we last been here. We remember the food being a but more tasty. We got it to a bad start. They were clearly understaffed. The one server was also acting as hostess. We walked in along with another group and watched the young lady walking back and forth past us several times before finally acknowledging us. We thought great we will be seated shortly. Nope, she walked back and forth in front of us several more times before what seemed like forever finally seating us. We actually were discussing leaving and going somewhere else. Our girl it wasn't her fault as she has no help and amazingly held a very friendly and cheerful disposition which we had long lost. After finally seating we were surprised that there prices has gone way up and by this time we wish we would have gone elsewhere. A basic taco and enchilada combo was just south of $20. It took our valiant server several more minutes to get our drink order and then several more to bring them. We eventually received our food. Like I said food was ok. I'd eat it again but it was not worth the price paid. We have other places with better food for less money.

Gecko Grill - Gilbert, AZ - 5 Stars

We had an excellent dining experience at Gecko Grill in Gilbert, AZ. I ordered the Mexico City Street Tacos (one shredded chicken, one shredded beef) and a Baja Fish Taco, and they were fantastic. The complimentary chips served with refried beans and salsa were a nice touch to start the meal.

We also tried the Shredded Beef Nacho Supreme appetizer, which was loaded and flavorful. For drinks, I had two Prickly Pear Margaritas. While they were on the smaller side and not particularly strong, they were deliciously flavorful.

Our server, Ed, was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided great service throughout.

For a party of four, including six alcoholic beverages, our total came to $135—a great value for the quality of food, drinks, and service.

Highly recommend Gecko Grill for a casual and satisfying meal. Five stars!

I’d say this is your nicer sit down style of Mexican restaurant. The food is great, the service is so fast! They have a lot of seafood options like crab relleno. I’ve never had a restaurant give me refried bean dip with chips at no charge! Their green salsa has sweetness to it, which actually works great. Overall all of the food was very good and the staff was so fast and kind.

The tacos here were almost $10 each and I ordered the fish taco plate which was two fish tacos with beans and rice. My dish was $20 and I expected to have good food. My salmon taco was ok, it could have been much better. My Baja taco was awful. It was like they drenched the taco in mayonnaise. It was salty and I could hardly stomach two bites.

My husband ordered a burrito. He was charged $1.33 for adding rice in his burrito after asking for no guacamole. There was also a charge for a refill of chips.

We left more than half our food on the table. I mentioned that I didn’t like my taco and I was offered another taco and declined.

Food price went up by two to three dollars per plate, portions were quite a bit smaller. 4 at a table, asked for a second basket of chips so that we wouldn’t have to reach over. We were told that would they would charge $.99. Much different experience. I had been out of town the last couple of months. Used to be my favorite place. After this experience I will never go back. Super small tamale, cheese enchilada and mostly beans and rice. Almost $18

Was very excited to check this restaurant out after we first heard about them. The staff was very nice and helpful. The ambiance was so so.
We were just shocked at the outrageous pricing. I'm willing to pay for a quality, scratch made dinner but after trying the complimentary chips, salsa and bean dip. We left. Bean dip and salsa were very bland. No zing or spice. Very sad. Can't recommend but maybe your plate is different.
