Iâve stayed at this hotel twice in the past two weeks, only because I had already booked in advance using non-refundable points. Letâs start with the good: the young lady working the night shift was absolutely wonderfulâkind, helpful, and a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience. Now for the rest.
First stay: My suite smelled like smoke, particularly in the bathroom, which was gross. The room itself was in desperate need of attention. The bathtub faucet leaked, and when I opened a drawer, I was greeted by someone elseâs used tissues and earplugs. Lovely. I was offered some air freshener (thanks?) but told the staff I wasnât moving rooms because, frankly, I was exhausted after a long day of driving and had already hauled my bags in. Not exactly the kind of welcome you expect.
Breakfast? Donât even bother. Both stays, I ended up going out, buying something decent, and bringing it back. Calling the provided breakfast âunderwhelmingâ would be generous.
Second stay: I was given a different room this time, and while it didnât smell like smoke (progress!), it still left plenty to be desired. The bathtub is peeling, which is both unattractive and a safety hazard. The wall mirror is one good bump away from crashing down. Oh, and dog treats from the previous guest were left behind, as if thatâs some kind of weird parting gift. The whole room felt neglected.
To top it all off, whoever labeled this hotel as ânewly renovatedâ deserves an award for creative storytelling. Slapping some paint on the walls and calling it a day is not a renovationâitâs laziness.
In summary: unless major improvements are made, I wonât be staying here again, points or not. The kind staff deserve better working conditions, and guests deserve a clean, functional room at the bare minimum.

This is a good hotel. I mean this as constructive criticism. This used to be Comfort Inn which is now next door in a former Fairfield Inn. You can verify that with past Street View images. They left the area for the microwave and mini fridge empty and instead put those items with the tv by the bed. The microwave didnât time out and doesnât offer a 50% power mode.
The breakfast is decent but the juice is watered down and the coffee is mediocre at best.
The service was great for the hotel level. The hotel is clean brightly lit at night. I might stay here again. It was a nice experience.

Good safe location. Average hotel. The sofa bed was stained badly which suprised us as the hotel is fairly new. We had to ask for sheets and pillows. Only provided 3 towels for family of 5.

Hotel is in a great locationâvery close to Quail Springs Mall, lots of restaurants and shopping, and Kilpatrick Turnpike. Very clean and modernly designed.
Quiet on the third floorâcould not hear any turnpike traffic. Itâs a dog-friendly hotel and we did hear a dog bark and whine a few times.
Fairly quick check-in. Recognized as a Diamond Elite memberâoffered amenity points and two free pantry items.
Room was comfortable, neutral smell (not bad or good), clean. Had all the expected amenitiesâhand soap, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash.
Breakfast is standard IHG fareâeggs, bacon, oatmeal, bagels, milk, juice, etc. It ended at 9am, which seemed a little early to cut off breakfast on a Saturday.
There is a pool but we didnât use it.

I really, really hate writing bad reviews but here we go. I wanted to love this place but the service killed it for me. The staff was not very friendly. I felt like we we an inconvenience to them when we would talk to them. Our room for the most part was nice, there was a jacuzzi in it but it was a little dirty. Also, we kept finding little small ants everywhere. Housekeeping came at very odd hours (almost 6pm?) when we were there. We did unfortunately leave something behind and it took 3 separate phone calls the first being at 5, next around 7 (only to be told housekeeping hasnât been to the room yet) the last one being an hour later saying housekeeping didnât find anything. So thereâs multiple issues unfortunately. For it being an IHG hotel, I expected way better and will be reaching out to corporate because based on the reviews, Iâm not the only one that has had issue with the service.

They charge deposit for your children or pets. On my check out day my room was left without any damaged . I didn't even leave it messy at all. We are a family of 5 ; two adults 2 young children and one infant. I waited a week to call them back. They said my only charge was for the staying and should have my 50 dollars back...well its now a month never received my MONEY BACK!!!. Tried to dispute it with my bank, they denied it bc it only shows the payments for the staying even though they're pending with deposit included. I'm definitely NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN!

Great service, very accommodating!
The beds are comfortable, clean and freshly renovated rooms!
Would definitely stay here again while in the area!!

Reasons for only 4 stars instead of 5: the location from the street is not good. It looks like the hotel was built on a nice piece of land, a 100 yards back from the street, and developers surrounded it with businesses and apartments. They left it with a narrow access lane one one side and (seriously) drive through a restaurant parking lot to get out the other side.
Breakfast area was kept spotless. Not the best selection, but not bad. Cereal, waffles, eggs, bacon or turkey sausage(alternating days), A few bread options , juice, yogurt, fresh fruit. It will get you started and save you money for the excellent lunch and dinner options in the area.
**Coffee has been upgraded. It is not instant but one of those machines that grind the beans and brew your cup fresh. Very good. And HOT.
TV would randomly turn on. No explanation. The ghosts wanted to watch a movie at 2:30a.m.?
I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again. For the price, it's well worth it. Service staff were helpful and readily available.
