Coming from Alabama, southern hospitality is something very common and this place has the same sweet, southern hospitality. Our waitress, I forget her name but she was originally from Williams, was incredibly nice! She gave her recommendation on what to order and my husband ordered it. He loved the burger, I loved the Route 66 sampler, and my mom loved the pancakes (short stack). I do feel like the prices were pricey until I seen the amount of food you got. None of us are all of our food. The ranch was homemade and the marinara sauce was as well. My items were fried to perfection- meaning the onion and the jalapeño didn’t come out on the first bite. Only regret was not saving room for dessert.

Loved how relaxed the place felt with its retro look and just simple and calm atmosphere. No high expectations and just a relaxing feel all around. I got the surfs up salmon and it was really good!

Galaxy Diner offers the classic American diner experience

Food: I tried their Mondo Country Fried Steak, which features two large steaks fried in crispy batter accompanied by a vegetable medley and mashed potatoes. The steak and vegetables could've used a bit more seasoning but the mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious - especially when pared with their country gravy.

Service: Sergio was our server and provided friendly, attentive service throughout our visit.

Atmosphere: The diner features a retro design including bar seating, booths, and a larger dining area that can see the kitchen. The interior was well-designed but could've been slightly cleaner under the chairs / tables.

To me, this is the quintessential Rte. 66 diner stop. Prices are affordable. Portions are large. Atmosphere is fun and quirky. Staff is very friendly. While my meal was delicious; two of my guests were disappointed in their meals (which happened to be the same menu item). Just know, if you like traditional corned beef hash, this diner adds bell pepper- and this ingredient was not listed on the menu.

Friendly, welcoming and great service. Breakfast all day. Gotta have my afternoon pancakes! Plenty of nostalgia to look at. 40s/50s decor. FYI No longer have liquor license, so no spirits, beer or wine. Overall, had a great experience.

One of my favorite places to eat in Flagstaff. There are pics of Hollywood celebrities, from decades ago, who visited when Route 66 was even more popular.
There's a wide selection of items on the menu, including a milk shake menu with 100 items!
The staff are great.

A hotel concierge recommended this place for its burgers and shakes. It did not disappoint! The burgers and fries were really good. The omelette was also very tasty. The pancakes stole a show. They were REALLY GOOD! The hashbrowns were good as well. We will definitely make this a breakfast stop anytime we are in Flagstaff. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
