I have been here many times. Their items on the menu never disappoint. I recommend most of them. It’s also in a great location and you can explore the area around.

This is a cute cafe that could be great with a few tweaks. When you first walk in you're greeted by a display case of pastries, a wall of artisan breads, and a coffee station. If you didn't ask anyone, that's all you would assume they sell because there's no menu posted anywhere. All they have is a little handout at the ordering counter with a few sandwiches on it. It doesn't list any breakfast sandwiches either, which you most certainly can get. They also only have "pragels" which are not explained anywhere, but are a cross between pretzels and bagels. They're delicious, but I think people would appreciate a label somewhere explaining that. I got a breakfast sandwich on a pragel and it was great. I also got a pain au chocolat but it was quite stale and tasted off like it had proofed too long (i.e. it tasted somewhat boozy). All in all a very mediocre experience.

great coffee and food, however it can be hard to get a seat. With it being a pretty small space, please consider implementing a laptop policy. I totally understanding doing some work while you eat/drink but there’s no reason to stay holding up a table with your laptop even after you’ve finished your food/drink. I’ve seen time limits posted at other cafes which I think should be everywhere!

Got a double shot latte. My second visit and both times the milk was way overheated and way over foam-ed. The drink was barely 1/4 full of liquid. It was more of a cappuccino, but still fell short. I had a chocolate danish that was very good. The vibe in the dining area was also pretty good. Just get the staff trained better on making coffee drinks, and this place will be a more frequent stop for me.

If you’re looking for a quick breakie spot don’t even hesitate about going to the G cafe in Branford. The two ladies who run upfront are extremely kind, prices are more than reasonable especially for the quality of food and their drinks are phenomenal. This place is such a gem. Iced chai is a 10/10 as well as their lattes. The “pragels” are wonderful as well. I do wish the music wasn’t as loud but I truly enjoy everything else about this cafe.

Love that all the breads are made organic! They are delicious! The breakfast and lunch awesome! Never had a bad experience. Staff was attentive even though it was so busy!

My first visit to G Cafe was lovely! I appreciated the variety of options, including vegan and vegetarian. All the desserts looked wonderful, my chai latte with oat milk was delicious, but the highlight was the olive bread. It took a bit to decide which loaf to buy, but I made the right choice. They graciously sliced it for me, and I had eaten half by the end of the day. Delicious enough with a pat of butter, but I can't wait to try it as sandwich bread!

I went here with my LGBTQ friend and while in line we saw a Trump had hanging up in the back. We instantly felt uncomfortable and unwelcome and left. Unfortunately we cannot support a business that advocates for Trump.
