Nestled in the heart of Luckenbach, Texas, the Full Moon Inn is a hidden gem that radiates rustic charm and unapologetic Americana. This cozy bed and breakfast is a love letter to the Lone Star State, catering to folks who appreciate wide-open spaces, patriotic pride, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like family.

From the moment you arrive, owners Jenny and Doug greet you with warm smiles and a down-home sincerity that’s as refreshing as a cold sweet tea on a Texas afternoon. Their passion for sharing their slice of heaven is contagious—whether they’re swapping stories about local history, recommending the best stargazing spots, or whipping up a breakfast that’ll make your taste buds salute.

Speaking of food: don’t expect fussy, overcomplicated dishes here. The Full Moon Inn serves up hearty, homestyle cooking that’s steeped in tradition. Think fluffy buttermilk biscuits smothered in sausage gravy, smoky brisket that melts in your mouth! Meals so good it could mend fences. Every bite feels like a hug from Grandma—if Grandma wore a cowboy hat and kept a flagpole in the front yard.

The inn itself is a tribute to rustic simplicity, with weathered wood accents, vintage Americana decor, and a porch that begs you to sit a spell. You’ll spot Old Glory waving proudly, along with nods to Texas pride at every turn. It’s the kind of place where boots on the porch railing aren’t just allowed—they’re encouraged.

If you’re craving an escape from the noise of modern life and want to reconnect with the soul of Texas, the Full Moon Inn delivers. Jenny and Doug don’t just run a B&B—they curate an experience that’s equal parts nostalgia, patriotism, and genuine kindness. Y’all come back now, hear?

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay here at Full Moon, from Jenny’s warm welcome, to our spotless, spacious comfortable room (“Texas Wildlife”), to the friendly barn cats and farm critters, to the fun 1776 Bar (“the most patriotic bar in Texas!”) which doubles as a common area with comfy chairs for relaxing as well as the breakfast spot. Speaking of which, they’ve got the hot coffee going at 8:15 (you have coffee in your room if you want it earlier) and right at 9:00 you’ll get a delicious all-fresh-cooked meal (ours was bacon, eggs, pancakes one day and eggs, French toast and smoked sausage the next, with OJ and wine on the table if you wanted a mimosa). The location is perfect: close to all Fredericksburg has to offer, just a couple minutes up the road from “Luckenbach TX.” These folks care about their property and their guests! We’ve already booked our next visit for the fall. Thanks for a great stay!

This little charming Inn was fun to walk around and see. We visited their animals and looked over the property. Jenny made us breakfast in the morning and we visited with two other couples. We had a very relaxing stay!!!

Our family had a great stay at the Full Moon, both as B&B guests and thru Harvest hosts in our RV. Jennie and Doug were very kind and generous hosts and we all felt extremely welcome. Delicious breakfast! Thank you!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Full Moon Bed and Breakfast. Jenny and Doug are great hosts. I enjoyed talking to both of them. The breakfast was very good. And was like a true bed and breakfast, everyone sat down and ate together and had a conversation. On a side note I think Doug’s eggs would have been better if he would have used all farm eggs and not store bought. (Haha). Very good place to stay and will stay again.

Farm comfort! Great hosts, comfortable room, we stayed in the Oil boom room. This is a great place away from downtown Fredericksburg, across from Luckenbach music venue. We’d stay here again, high recommend! 1776 bar with live music on the premises was an unexpected plus!!

FMI is an amazing place! Serene and peaceful, the most relaxed we have been in a long time. While still close to everything Fredericksburg has to offer. The breakfasts were wonderful. Jen and Doug were great host. Will definitely be going back.

5-Star Review: Full Moon Inn Bed and Breakfast||We were eagerly anticipating our stay at the Full Moon Inn Bed and Breakfast, but unfortunately, a tragic car accident landed us in the hospital during the time we were scheduled to be there. While we never had the chance to physically experience the beautiful property, what we did experience was something even more profound—the extraordinary kindness and compassion of the people who run it.||When we informed them of our situation, their response was filled with so much heart and love that it brought us to tears. They even issued us a refund, which they absolutely didn’t have to do. This act of kindness spoke volumes about their values—they weren’t just thinking about business but about people. Their decision to put people above money showed the depth of their compassion and the kind of loving hearts they have.||It’s clear that the Full Moon Inn isn’t just a business; it’s an extension of the God-filled hearts of the people behind it. Their care and understanding during such a difficult time meant more to us than words can express.||When our family is better, we will absolutely book again and come see all of them in person! We are deeply grateful for their prayers, thoughtfulness, and generosity. We can’t wait to experience their warmth and hospitality firsthand. This is a truly special place, run by truly special people.
