Freds is everything you can hope for from a place with a giant hotdog out front. The staff are all very kind and you can tell they love working there. I got a long dog with Sauerkraut and mustard. It was delicious. Smoked perfectly. The pimento cheese sandwich was amazing. And they will happily tell you everything that goes into making it. I also got lucky and they let me try some chew bread they are wanting to add to the menu. Over all great ambience, great people, great food. Highly recommend.

I will 100% be back! These hotdogs are AWESOME and have a very unique flavor. They’re soft and tender, the perfect light lunch in this chilly weather. The hotdogs are aparently prepared in a broth marinade and smoked on a Big Green Egg charcoal grill making them probably the best hot dog I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying! Chili was also awesome! Can’t wait to try the other menu items!!! The Philly cheesesteak and burger definitely are on my list 🩷

VERY clean, friendly staff that are the types to remember regulars’ names and faces and orders!

Amazing food and great service. If you are in the area, this place is a must try. I have traveled all over Georgia, and this is definitely one of the top five best hotdog places in the state. I recommend the slaw did, and my son loved the chili cheese dog. No matter what you get, it will be great.

I’m so glad maps reminded me I wanted to try Fred’s place. He is amazing and the food was delicious. I usually hate eating in by myself but I felt like an old friend here. The burgers are juicy and perfectly smoked. The hot dog was delicious too.

My daughter was wanting a hot dog and we decided to try out this place and it was amazing! The owner and I’m assuming his wife are very friendly and informative. The owner shared about the awesome history of Fred’s and explained the whole menu which you just don’t see anymore. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was welcoming! My family and I will definitely be back next time we are in town! Thank you!

If you enjoy some good burgers and hotdogs you gotta check this place out. It's a small place with a lot of heart and atmosphere. The food is delicious and the people that run it are super friendly and welcoming. And the cherry on top is you're supporting a local small business. Will definitely be back to try that philly cheese steak.

I’d heard about this place and we thought we’d check it out. I love a hole in the wall restaurant. Fred’s had the best onion rings ever and really great hotdogs. The fries were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The pimento cheese was to die for. If you are ever in the metropolis of Griffin Ga. check it out! It’s been here since 1947 so they must be doing something right.

It's the type of home-grown, people who would give you the shirt of their backs, solid restaurant that you want to stick around forever.
They ran out of burgers, so Fred ran out to get more so he could fulfill my order and gave me complimentary brownies due to the wait.
