The first thing you see when you turn off the road is a beautiful Dutch Colonial style building made with logs framed by green trees and lawn. The front steps climb to a entry with an expansive view of the Willamette Valley. The great room is warm and inviting with comfortable furnishings that make you want sit and relax. There are multiple patio areas outside for sitting and enjoying the view. |The hosts are locals and know the area well. The property sits in the middle of wine country. Both Clark and Bridget were a wealth of information. Our room was comfortable and much larger than we needed, the area is too beautiful to stay indoors. The room included a comfortable sitting area with a large screen TV, a table with four chairs and a large bathroom. |While we enjoyed local coffee, a delicious, simple breakfast was prepared fresh for us in the great room the morning.

Wow! What a fantastic B&B. This inn has amazing views in the Dundee hills overlooking everything. The inn itself is stunning with sky high ceilings and incredible workmanship throughout. The rooms and baths were, of course, sparkling. The hostess was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast...omg...best omelet I ever had along with a great cup of coffee. So much to see and do around Dundee and Newberg with beautiful wineries throughout. Can't wait to come back for another restful stay.

Awesome experience at the Franziskahaus. We were totally exhausted when we got there and the bed was so comfortable for a quick nap. The location is perfect for access to so many different vineyards. We really enjoyed getting to just walk around the property and relax!

Had a wonderful experience. Stayed 2 nights and visited several local vineyards. Franziska Haus is conveniently located in the hub of it all. The room was cozy, clean, and well decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful - we had a great time getting to know Brigitte. The breakfasts were delicious and made from scratch. We also loved the grounds / garden areas. Beautifully landscaped. A great value! Can’t wait to come back!

Unfortunately, Franziska Haus was a disappointment. The room (Ava's Terrace) was clean, the bed was comfortable, but overall the room was minimally designed which did not provide a warm and cozy feel. The bathroom had the minimum toiletries (not quite like the photo). When we read past reviews, guests said the breakfasts were wonderful; unfortunately, not so for us. The yogurt and granola were delicious, but the main breakfast served to us was a breakfast croissant - egg, ham, cheese - that we could have bought at a local coffee shop. That was it! Not like the gourmet breakfast we read about. The coffee was weak and certainly not gourmet. We learned that we were one of two or maybe three guests that weekend, plus they had some repairs and construction taking place on the property. We're assuming this was the reason the owners scaled back on the experience. Unfortunately, we paid $400 a night, and this B&B did not deliver a $400 a night experience. In fact, we left early the.morning of check out and had a great breakfast down the street at a small local bakery. At least the location of Franziska Haus was convenient.

Brigitte was a pleasant and accommodating host. My husband and I stayed in the Orchard Room for 2 nights while we visited Willamette Valley, and Franziska Haus BnB was perfect. The grounds and property was impeccably landscaped and maintained, and the room was lovely. Brigitte accommodated our late check-in and breakfast times, and our entire experience was smooth, convenient, high-quality, and comfortable.

Our stay was most enjoyable and relaxing. Our hosts were very gracious, accommodating special requests for early coffee service in room and breakfast to go for our early departure to Mount Hood. Breakfast was always delicious. Host we’re very helpful with questions about parks, and travel in the area. Location was perfect for winery estate visits, and many choices for good food nearby in Dundee. The grounds were beautifully and very well kept. Our room was spacious and well thought out, providing all the convenient touches that make a stay memorable. We would certainly stay there again.

We long talked about visiting the Willamette Valley in Oregon's wine country.This trip did not disappoint. We absolutely loved staying at Franziska Haus in Dundee Hills. So close to the wineries, vineyards, and restaurants, yet set in a quiet and serene location. Stunning gardens and patio and delicious breakfast each morning in the gorgeous Great Room with volume ceiling and fireplace. Brigitte and Clark could not have been nicer and so helpful with their recommendations. We stayed in Katharina's cottage which was so spacious & private with lovely views from the sitting area. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip.
