Won’t be coming back. We called ahead of our arrival, booking a stay here. Guest services when making the reservation was lovely. Can’t say enough good things about Chelsey. We asked about the golf course before we booked here and were told it opened up the day before arriving and we could play the course. That’s the main reason we chose to stay here.
First day here went great . Got to our site went over and played golf. Met some nice folks running the club house.
Second day, went in to play golf and a different person, a tall very healthy lady informed my husband he was not allowed to play golf here. She proceeded to say the golf course here was for residents only! He told her that he had played the day before with no problem and that we were Cal-am owners in Gold Canyon AND we are paying residents here. She then said NO, scolded him for not wearing a name badge & he had to have one on while on property?! She told him he was not welcome and kept mouthing off like a chihuahua so he left. What a B!! We will NEVER come back here!!!!

I'm sorry but we are paying over $1100.00 to park our motorhome here. I requested the weeds in front which is on their lot around a palm tree also on their lot which they water. They proceeded to tell me it's a $60 maintenance fee to keep the weeds down again on their lot. So I guess I won't care how the lot looks

A lot of activities, off you get bored it’s because you choose not to be involved in any of them. Daily music, two pools, dance lessons, golf, restaurant and bar, woodworking shop, and many more things to do in the sunny Yuma weather.

Office personnel are rude!! It takes 2 receptionist to wait on 1 person. It's AWAYS the customer fault. Never "thx for waiting, it'll be a few minutes." Totally ignored, invisible. Sad they have no manners!!

I think like many RV Resorts nothing is perfect. ||Overall we had a fabulous season Dec 2023 -Apr 2024. We stayed in a 35' 5th wheel toy hauler in the older area of the park to be close to the smaller pool, hot tub, and gym area. Next season we booked the newer area to be closer to the Mountains.|Staff and residents are super friendly. Once you get into a routine and know when certain places are open, what is the special or activity for the day and who to contact with your questions things settle in quickly and bam the season is over. Contact activities office to get on there email group list for updates, reminders or quick communication for say if they have to turn the water off or activities updates.||We really enjoyed the onsite restaurant, variety of different actives-such as 5Km walk, Hallowing at the moon, Dancing on the green and Karaoke to name a few. Someone mentioned too many dogs.... well it seems to be the way of the future. Its great that this RV park is dog friendly and lots of space for everyone. There are 4 dog parks, walking area outside of the resort and lots of streets within the Resort for walking as well.||At many of the Resorts people also complain about the cost. We've stayed in many RV resorts and for dollar value and amount of activities Fortuna de Oro seems to be fairly priced. There were lots of free activities and no exceptions for if you are a renter or owner. Everyone (2 people per site) are encouraged to participate. Yes there are cheaper places to stay. Some just as crowded, less activities, less secure or located near busy streets or near the train tracks on the north side or in a open area behind Walmart where there is lots of wind. ||What made us book for next season..... We met so many great people, loved the dog park, loved the location-close to mountains for off roading with 4 wheelers or side by sides, hiking and we appreciate being able to run into Fry's grocery store when needed instead of a big drive or having to just go to Walmart. It is nice to have options. So many activities to choose from you can do lots or just rest and do your own thing.||The staff were amazing as well. We had a family death at the beginning of our trip and a week later had a issue with dog bite. The office staff were professional, personable, kind and action orientated. I really like that the staff presented happy all the way through the season as well. I know the Park managers are changing and I hope the new manager have a similar style as the last managers will be missed. Activities staff are awesome as well. They really go out of their way to ensure everyone has a great time.

Very loud music at the pool every day except the weekends? couldn't have a conversation. The lower pool was pretty far away with a small hot tub that was a bit grimey and the jets weren'tworking. ..Laundry small. Wifi not great. Lots are very small. Staff didn't know about bus tours or other outings to do? Found a tourist bureau downtown to get help, they were great. Superbowl party was a total flop, t.v. quit working before halftime. The whole packed room was empty a minute after half time. Heard many complains except for pickleball...that appeared to be the best thing going for this place....also the golfers seem to be alright. Not worth the money in our opinion. I will give credit to the lady cleaner, day shift in the pool area, a hard worker.

Large RV resort with 2 pools and hot tubs, pickleball, golf course, 2 bars, one poolside. Restaurant. Lots of activities. Sites are crowded but have cement sidewalk/patio area. Full hookups. We had a free coupon for a 3 night stay. The restaurant and bars were closed on a Saturday night. I did enjoy the pool. Otherwise not my kind of place. But it is nice for people who prefer RV resorts. Thank you for the 3 free nights.
