Giving it 4 stars because it’s quiet and no one else is here camping. Unfortunately the pit toilets are locked and it appears people have been using the area around the campsites as a toilet with spent toilet paper left of the ground. My dog keeps trying to get into it. Yuck.

It's my first experience camping with my family with our camping trailer. It was a blast, labor day weekend. It's was worth it for the drive, if you look for wilderness this is perfect place for you. Beautiful Ashurst lake, we watch sunsets, sunrise, there are beautiful wild flowers It's a plus, long country. Staff were amazing. Definitely great memories with our infant.

Beautiful camp site. Love this hidden little treasure. Loved seeing all the wildlife. The Bald Eagles were our favorite. Our kids enjoyed seeing the Eagles catch fish. Camp host is super friendly.
Fyi.. the 4 mile road to get here is dirt. If you don't like traveling on ruff dirt roads this isn't the place for you.

What a Great Lake and campground. The campgrounds are conveniently located around the lake. You can fish all around the lake. The campgrounds have a fire pit, restrooms, trash can, firewood and water available. The restrooms are well kept and clean as it can be. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. You get a great view of the Milky Way.

Awesome camping location! Just an extension to Ashurst but has a little better camping locations and more wide open and also private. You will also get more sun on this side and not as much drive through traffic as main side.
I have another review on the Ashurst side that is more detailed

Great place for camping, fishing. It was my first time camping at Forked pine. I had a good time with my friends. The only thing that made my trip short was the wind. It was very windy all day and night.

Great campground. More secluded than ashurst campground. It's ok the same lake but this campground is on the East side of the lake. Great view of the lake. Fishing opportunity. Spacious campsites.
