Great spot! Very friendly staff. Restaurant next door. I was done with mountain passes so this was a perfect option to get off the road. Recommendation for sure.

If you are visiting the area and just need a clean room and hot shower,this place is perfect. Gary is a really nice manager,friendly! The owners should considering filling those nasty pot holes in the entry ways,though.

My son and I were traveling and had car issues. Triple A picked up my car and we decided to stay here. The room was clean and we enjoyed the quiet. The weather was so nice that we could open our door and enjoy. Garry the owner was really so nice and my son and I enjoyed our conversation with him in his background and the love he had for the area. It was really quaint and affordable. There is a general store across the street within walking distance which is nice. This is the only motel within several miles, so we were so grateful to have the comfort of just having this blessing as our car was being fixed.

This is a great little motel, the owners super friendly & will do what he can to make your experience a good one.

I like this place. I stay while on the rim fishing and this place is perfect for a low priced place to stay for the night. I read the negative reviews and they all look like they were written by democrats from CA who aren’t used to staying anywhere with less than five stars yet. I hope the, like the rest of us, can learn to appreciate being in the woods, staying overnight so you also do it again tomorrow! Can’t fix them. So let them write their negative reviews so they can dive back to Scottsdale feeling they have left a contribution behind…

I loved my stay here!! Garry the owner was the nicest person I've met in a long while! He was very helpful and gave us lots of information about the area so we could plan our brief visit. The rooms are dated but they are clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. In fact, my husband and I started planning another trip out here before we even checked out haha (:

Locks on doors need to be replaced. I got locked IN my room! Couldn't get the key out of the door. Mold in the bathroom but the beds are nice.

The hotel's own statement says: "Your Basic, No-Frills Motel, Established in 1983 and is ideal for hunters, fishermen, hikers, and those that do not want to camp out with friends or family." That's incredibly accurate. I might add, if you want to experience 70s decor and amenities first-hand, here's the place to go.||My wife and I have been visiting Forest Lakes AZ for decades, but never stayed here. We had a one-nighter as part of a birthday trip to cool off in the pines and fish. We ate in Heber, separate review.||The manager was agreeable, courteous and accommodating. The room on check-in was clean, I check sheets, surfaces with a black light and have done for years, even in 5-star hotels. The Wifi worked perfectly and the breakfast was OK, pre-wrapped pastries and coffee.||Our total. after a $5 discount was $85 inc taxes etc. I think that's high for what is provided but maybe I'm out of touch.||Best I can tell the property has twenty rooms. Maybe the market tells you something but there was one other guest on our overnight based on cars in the parking lot.||The rooms are old and show it. The bathrooms are clean but need even minimal TLC (see picture around bath). But what pushed this property down from 3 to 2 stars for me was the discovery that they use rotated single bed sheets on the bottom of the bed. (see picture) So your legs and feet are touching the mattress and what ... how many guests... have touched before. Absolutely disgusting. I presume they assume you won't pull back the bedding to spot this. Bad call.||Long story short: I *might* stay here again but I'd take my own sheets. My wife won't stay here again.
