Fluffy duck is a complete and total gem. This was the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had- it is so clear that the owners love good quality ingredients because the tomatoes and avocado in this Sammy were so flavorful- everything is such high quality. Amazing find- I’ll be coming back everytime I visit Cleveland.

I was visiting from out of town with a co-worker and I was excited to try something handmade. The menu is basically a few sandwiches and pastries. The pastries looked beautiful but I can’t have that many carbs with no protein. I wanted breakfast and not a sandwich at 8:30 am so I ordered a latte with plans to get breakfast later. I asked if it could be made with skim milk and he was clearly insulted as he told me they only have whole milk. I said no problem. He made the drink in a paper cup, not ceramic and then told us we weren’t allowed to sit in the cafe with a to go cup. We asked for the receipt and he literally threw them as us. I can not tell you how the drink tasted because I put it in the trash before I left. There were only 2 people there so if we sat for a few minutes to drink our coffee it would not have prevented other customers from sitting. Don’t waste your time here. Visit the crepe restaurant a few doors away. The person that took my order was unbelievably rude. To be clear, I wasn’t there for a meeting and planning to linger all morning. I just wanted something to eat or drink.

* I've come here every year the past three years because it's close to the clinic. I've delved into the sandwiches this year, and they are exceptional. I can not recommend this place enough. I'm a pastry chef and baker myself and consider this place a hidden gem for sure. Their quality and technique in their products are truly special! *

I never leave reviews but I felt I needed to after the experience we had. After reading other reviews, I see our experience is a common theme.

I stopped in last week with my 2 year old son to get a coffee and I needed to take care of something before we went to the aquarium for the day. I had planned to be there not long but definitely needed to sit down for a moment.

The man was very frustrated that I only wanted coffee and told me the entire purpose of a cafe was to order food. He said my coffee had to be to go and we could not stay as "we would take up the building and there would be no room for the lunch crowd."

This was 9:30 am on a Thursday and there were NO OTHER customers in the building.

At first I thought we may have been not welcomed since my son was so young but upon reading other reviews I see this is just how they operate.

So, please note that if you do not order a food item you will be asked to leave and cannot stay in the cafe even if you've already paid for parking (parking isn't free). Coffee only orders are apparently to go even though there is no clear signage saying such.

This was not clear to me and I did not see any signage in the store or on their webpage indicating that, and I thought it was rather odd since they also make you pay for parking that is over 30 minutes regardless of what you order.

We left and found some place else more welcoming.

It's very ironic that this place is called the Fluffy Duck Café as it is not friendly or welcoming at all.

Yep, I should have looked at the reviews before entering this "coffee shop" (according to google). Just like all the other reviews, the encounter was miserable and I was told to take out. For a coffee shop that seems to be in a great location (hospitals & hotels) they have awful customer service & it's really uncomfortable being in there.

I mentioned this to my hotel, to which they agreed that they do not recommend this place for food or coffee. There are much better places nearby that have good coffee, food AND nice people!

P.S owner.. Café means coffee so I would remove that as you clearly do not want to sell coffee 🙂

This spot near the clinic is perfect for anyone looking for a breaktime getaway. I had a chocolate croissant and a latte the croissant was light, buttery, and perfectly flaky. I got a latte and chocolate croissant! The latte was ok , but the croissant definitely stole the show! ☕🥐

I was looking for a change of scenery from my usual Starbucks to grab a sandwich, coffee and complete some homework. I decided to give this cafe a try. The cafe itself was clean and offered a quiet atmosphere, which I appreciated. My vanilla latte was well-made, and the chicken croissant was quite tasty. While I noticed they had guest Wi-Fi, I wasn't offered the password, so I ended up using my mobile hotspot.
Unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse. I felt distinctly uncomfortable due to the constant whispering and stares directed my way. It felt as though I was being scrutinized for eating and drinking too slowly or maybe I was there too long after completing my meal. While there were other patrons, the cafe wasn't particularly busy, and I certainly wasn't monopolizing any seating. The intensity of the attention made me feel unwelcome, as if I had overstayed my welcome—though I'm not sure how long is too long in a cafe.
It's a shame, because the food and coffee were enjoyable. However, the unwelcoming atmosphere completely overshadowed the positives, and I won't be returning. To add insult to injury, I paid for three hours of parking and only ended up using half of that time.

In response to the comment: Normally you would expect a CAFE to welcome its guests for no fixed time limit, as many cafes are used for casual meet ups between friends or studying. However, this cafe will firmly kick you out after an hour or longer and report you to the police if they believe you are not spending enough money and will serve your drinks in paper cups to encourage you to leave sooner. This did not happen to the white patrons at the venue. ALSO!!!! Instead of justifying your racism, you should hold yourself accountable so that you do not repeat the same mistake again, because a lot of these reviews have indicated poor service from your cafe.
