Flancer's Incredible Sandwiches & Pizza - Mesa, Arizona

We come weekly for years and love the staff. Today we had Joanna and she’s always so sweet and friendly and has our order memorized, and often times has our drinks coming to the table when she sees us walking towards the restaurant! Mikey the manager is also fabulous and has worked there years so it’s nice to have consistency. Renee is great too and always really competent at handling multiple tables at once. A really great crew and it’s always nice to see a friendly face and support a small business restaurant instead of the large chains that Mesa is famous for. We also love that the sandwiches are unique and not like every other restaurant. Happy to have Flancer’s in our neighborhood!

We love Flancer’s. We’ve been going to the Gilbert location since the beginning, but now we go to the Mesa location because of the awesome staff there. Of course, we love the food and drinks, you can’t beat their Steak it to the Limit or the Perfect prickly pear sandwiches served on their fresh bread and their fries will make you want to order extra. We love Mikey. He is hands down the best sever, he is always attentive to our table, comes back to check on us even when he is busy. He remembers our orders and is always so good to everyone. We go out of our way to go to the Mesa location, even though the Gilbert one is closer to us. 10 out of 10, would recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

The food wasn't bad, but unfortunately they only had one person on the floor and honestly just wasn't vibing with it... While the food was good it was small portions for a big price and I get these Mom & Pop shops gotta make money but just remember I wanna get full, im hungry

I came across this place by accident and I’m happy I did. I’m here visiting and pulled over to the side to get a sense of direction and felt hungry so I saw this place and decided to go and eat and I was helped by Mickey who was phenomenal. He was so funny, nice, helpful and had amazing customer service. I always have trouble finding what to eat when I go to new places and he was really nice and was offering me great recommendations. He recommended me the pizza and a sandwich to go, since I was still going to be on the road, and their peach cobbler pie was really great. If I were in town again I’d definitely come back here. It was a perfect mix of great food with greater customer service. Definitely recommend coming here for a quick bite and if you see Mickey be sure he helps you out cause he was really an amazing help that not a lot of other places offer or have!

We normally love Flancer’s. Tonight we got takeout orders and I was very disappointed. I couldn’t find a way to contact anyone through the website to provide these pictures so hopefully you’ll see this.

I ordered the BLT and the bun was burned and so was the bacon. The bacon just crumbled apart it was so overcooked and dried out. It tasted terrible. All I could taste was ash. After choking down two bites I lost my appetite and threw it away.

My wife, daughter and son got the prickly pear chicken sandwich. They said it was good.

I wouldn’t think if we were sitting in the restaurant that the server would have been willing to deliver this to the table from the kitchen.

That being said, it’s good to eat there but I cannot recommend the takeout. Especially for the price. These aren’t the cheapest sandwiches in town.

This place just ain't it.
Ordered the prickly pear chicken. Looked undercooked, but it's difficult to tell because it's shaved chicken. The boneless chicken wings taste like Tyson frozen chicken, and the mild sauce is unremarkable. The green chili Mac and cheese is alright and the fries were better than some places. Oh also- the prices are outrageous for the quality.

Overall not good honestly. Wouldn't be surprised if this place is gone by next year.

Food is fantastic and so is service!! The atmosphere could use some updating, but don’t let that deter you from eating here!! I personally love the prickly pear chicken (in any form, but especially the sandwich and the salad!)

😔 Well, "incredible" sandwiches might be a strong adjective. The sandwiches the three of us ate were all different and we each agreed that these would be ones expected to pack in a lunch box. It was, okay. Onions were over cooked, chicken was not marinated yet outside was tasty to eat, and breads did not hold the inside ingredients at all. I mean, it spilled all over the plate. Good thing there were forks! The bread was not soggy though.

Peach cobbler...not what we expected. Tasted like a biscuit flattened and baked with canned peaches on it. Not good. I mean, the ones they make in public schools tastes better than that. Sorry/not sorry. The vanilla bean ice cream was good though!

Fries were bomb! Deliciously crunch yet soft inside.

This is my second time there and not sure I will be back here again. We left feeling fed but fed food that was canned or packaged and put together in a fancy way. At least not anytime soon. Perhaps the manager will consider the reviews. Or not.

The macaroni and cheese with supposed to be slapped on green hatch chili was NOT GOOD. Still had to pay for it although we told our waitress when she asked that it was not good at all. Gross. When was the last time it was tasted back there to check it? #nope

It was put together, as the owner states in comments back to those that question this place, with "care and attention" for sure. It looked good, but I definitely miss how it was 2 years ago. Change of the times I guess. Owner, change the system faster than having to reply. Many are noticing.

Btw, expect your waitress to just leave and not say bye. She was nice and I personally loved how she colored her hair.
