Normally this place is decent. Which is why I frequent there for my lunch or dinner stops by the house.
Today was no different. I ordered my usual large steak and cheese lite pep and onion. No condiments. When ordering I was cut off by the order taker a few times who was not courteous as the folks in there usually are. Shrugged it off as they had been pretty busy. Got my food in hand got home and this is what I received. Half prepared 16$ sandwich. I called up as soon as I noticed and asked for a manager. I dealt with “Gloria” who come to find out was also who took my order. Who also said she was the shift supervisor. Now that being said. She never once apologized. She just saw oh they probably forgot to finish the meat. As she yelled down the line and asked the coworker rudely if she made the mistake. I asked too just take my name and replace it next time I’m in. She refused, was rude - said you gotta bring it back and the receipt, she was very unprofessional and gave me an o’well approach. She even hung up one me! Because I asked for her supervisor’s info. When I called back, she answer again and still would not answer me. She put down the phone without saying the name. Then a nice gentleman came to the phone and answered “ yes sir I understand. - her name is ——— and to call in the am.” I asked if he heard the way she was talking and to understand that I would follow up. He also understood.
-That gentleman needs to be in her job.
“Gloria needs to be nicer to customers. Especially when you just sent sub out like this.

I will NOT be back for a while.
When I do - if she’s there you can guarantee I will not be eating there.
Unnecessary and unacceptable treatment Firehouse.

Best wishes.

Today got 2 subs for take out and when we got home noticed buns were close to the size of hotdog buns, so less food inside plus prices have increased. Payed more for less today. Unhappy!!!!

In a word: FILTHY. The front door should have tipped me off. Floors were strewn with trash and foot prints on the dirty tile. Counters were dirty with specks of sauces and fingerprints. I get it, people get busy during rush but this was 2:00PM on a Wednesday. People were standing around and should have been pushing a broom and mop...
Update 2/2023 it’s official I’m done here. I thought I’d try it again and again my experience was bad. It is still a dirty restaurant. My sandwich was so wet and soggy on the bottom I had to abandon Sub halfway. Move on folks, nothing to see here.

As soon as you walk in you're pleasantly greeted by the staff. The decor, is off course based on a fire department theme.

Red tables and chairs sit on a 1950's style black and white told floor. The prep area is similar to a make fountain bar, only much taller. Fire house memorabilia, photos and a nice mural to top off the overall look.

The menu is nicely laid out being the bar. All subs are served hot and come in small, medium and largeb sizes. The rolls were very soft and came in either white or wheat. Additional toppings are available.

My meatball sub was large and delicious. The sauce is sweet without an overwhelming Organo taste. Our streak and cheese sub was, how shall I say this?... without cheese!!! Someone screwed this up, but the taste made this issue secondary.

Stop in and enjoy!

I ordered subs for dinner to be delivered. They got our orders so wrong. Even with the order receipt attached to the food, they still can't verify that it is correct. How hard is it to follow directions. What type of business allows this level of quality.

Not my first visit but my worst visit. Called in order to pick up in 15 minutes. When i arrived I stood in line to pay for 10 minutes. I paid and the manGer said he had my order in the computer. Everyone before me got their food and set at their tables to eat
A person got his pickup order and left. I asked the manager wlabout my engineer sandwich. He looked perplexed. All four behind the counter were talking and laughing but not working. I said 30 minutes in store waiting on a call in order was ridiculous After about 5 minutes a tall guy handed me a bag and said have a nice day with a smearky smile. I know this isn't how Firehouse subs wants to do business. I know this is not what you want to hear but You know it will affect your customers. 3/23/2024 evening shift.

We love Firehouse Subs. Great selection and prices. Very friendly staff and clean stores. A portion of sales goes to first responders for much needed equipment.

I have been a great supporter of this chain for years - the Foley AL 1167 9th Ave, has always been great. Except for today - At 11:52AM order#20018, I ordered 1 Mac & Cheese, 2 Hook & Ladders both large with everything - pickle on the side to go order. Tipped 20%. Subs were barely heated and the the Mac & Cheese was not quite to room temp yet. No big deal - my complaint is - the amount of meat in the sub was about 1/2 what they always have served. At these prices $37.83 - I'll try somewhere else. Jersey Mike's here I come...
