We had an amazing dining experience! Staff gave great recommendations, as I had plenty of questions. The waiter was extremely pleasant and tender to us very well. The food was good and gave the southern comfort that we were seeking. They had a lot of homemade dessert options that we didn't try but I had the fried chicken and grilled chicken breast with fried okra, mac n chz and a roll. Delicious!

Fat Man's is our go-to lunch spot when we are in the area. Beautiful historic venue, good food and the customer service is excellent. True southern hospitality at it's finest, and Stepman(I hope I have the correct spelling) does the best job in the house at exemplifying it.

I was thoroughly impressed. It is so hard to find a place that actually serves good food anymore. The place was beautiful & historic, the food was so flavorful! Our server was wonderful and he did an amazing job of checking on us & making everyone feel welcome. I can’t wait to visit again.

Had the squash casserole and seasoned fries, the squash casserole is extremely bland and salty and the seasoned fries were soggy and some of them tasted like they were rancid and it's funny they're called seasoned fries there was literally no seasoning on them at all they were as plain as you can get. Overall not that good.

Great experience with the catering menu. Served 75 people. The hamburger steak and pork chops were cooked and seasoned perfectly, the gravy went FAST, and the squash casserole was popular.

Came here after the river boat tour. Excellent service. We were able to sample the soup; I thought that was a great perk. The food was all so good. Our server was so attentive and positive. I helped them pick something up, and they came by with a banana pudding on the house as a thank you. I'd recommend this place for a little taste of the South, in more ways than one.

This place is definitely a southern comfort- southern hospitality restaurant. This was the first restaurant i visited my first day in Augusta and it left a beautiful reminder to go back. I wish i were exaggerating about this but its not too bold and in your face or not too lifeless that you forget it. Great spot, great people.
