Fast Eddie's Diner - Phoenix, Arizona

We decided to head over from Surprise to get so breakfast. We like to look for a local spot and after passing a few spots that were ridiculously busy we found Fast Eddie’s Diner. I was surprised to see it pretty empty. We were greeted right away and I loved the old school music playing. Vibe is a bit Sun City breakfast vibe to me with a flair of diner. Booths were comfortable and I loved that they had their condiments up off the table and screwed a bit higher up on the wall so a family can actually fit all their food comfortably. Our waitress was great and we had our food in no time. I ordered the bacon and eggs with pancakes and a side of sourdough toast. We also ordered the bog breakfast I can’t remember what it was called specially but came with sausage, three eggs, hash browns and a side of gravy for the biscuits. Everything came out so fast. Hash browns were cooked great and a crispy top. Toast was good and bacon crisp. The pancakes were amazing! Fluffy, sweet and oh so good. They made my entire meal. Prices were fair and food good. It is your diner type food. If you’re looking for fancy flair this isn’t your jam. Great stop.

Tried this place for breakfast due to the high reviews and diner experience we were looking for.

Sadly, we were not impressed. The food was ok, but not something I would go back for. No one was impressed with the food or service. The omlette was fine (cheese was all outside), eggs with other entree undercooked, and light as air waffle was certainly not that. I actually felt silly paying what

I did for what I call a "Hampton Inn Waffle" (one you make yourself with the waffle machine at the continental breakfast). I think the name hyped it up too much as it was a typical machine waffle i make at home and nothing light/fluffy really about it.
I love coffee and it was so weak, actually a waste of money. I wish I hadn't ordered and simply sent it back. I know that's a personal preference, but it had hardly any flavor.

Aside from that, service was mediocre and place smelled clean (of fabulouso) upon entering. Prices seemed to have taken a raise per other reviews, but given inflation, expected.

At the end of the day, would skip this place and try somewhere else next time.

Solid 5 out of 5. The servers right from the get go are friendly and very knowledgeable of what they have on the menu, even without having it in their hands.
The atmosphere when entering between the music and the 50s vibe is quaint, especially when sipping on a cup of coffee with the King himself going in the background.
Finally the food is superb, the breakfast sausages are to die for and the pancakes are flawless. Especially for the price!

2021 Breakfast: Clean, happy place. Smiles on the servers faces. Comfort food always above average taste and quality. Pricing below average. Excellent value.

2025 Update Lunch: Hamburgers are 1/2 lb. fresh ground beef cooked to order - fresh! I had the chili burger made with out beans and with sirloin steak - not ground. All 3 of us were smiling after the free ice cream dessert.

I would recommend but then you'll go there and take my seat, so don't go! (Eddie humor)

Service is always great, fast and friendly! I try to come here at least once a week, if not biweekly. Location is great vibes are amazing and the food served has great portions at a great price. The food is delicious. The what I presume owner is very welcoming and friendly to all his customers. The waitress is always on her A game and making sure her customers are satisfied and needs are met. I will continue returning here for these reasons.

it's called fast Eddie's but it's slow as hell. It was about 60% full. Took 15 minutes to be seated, hostess seated the peole in front of us and disappeared. Took 30 minutes for a waitress to come by. Waited another 40 minutes and still no food. Just wanted to pay for my drinks and leave. Owner said they were too busy, again many empty tables and said our food was ready. Changed to go and waited another 25 minutes before anything came out. Cool little place but horrible service. Don't waste your time. And I wanted breakfast but they said lunch while other tables were still ordering breakfast.

When I asked for a Dr Pepper they gave me a kids cup, when a asked for a big cup the waitress she gave me a look and got me a different cup that was still small a different person gave me a refill and a full size cup and I am very grateful for that man. He also treated everyone in our party amazingly I unfortunately did not catch his name. The chicken sandwich was amazing and highly recommend it. All floors were clean and surfaces quite polished and smooth.

There’s nothing like a Sunday brunch with the family after service. Brought the family in after coming here myself. Great service, good company, and home style meal, what more can you ask for? Family and I had a fantastic time, the food was delicious. Philly cheese steak was the star of the show and the Ruben sandwich.
