Fallin's BBQ. More like Failing BBQ.

This place sucks. I spent $20 for a Brisket Burnt Ends plate, and this is what I got:

Six fatty, chewy under-seasoned cubes. I wouldn't even complain if they tasted good or were a bit crispier or tender. They were none of the things that I would expect from Burnt Ends. I'm not even sure if this place knows what they're supposed to be like, but these hardly qualify as Burnt Ends; no intense flavor, no deep smoky crispiness or color, and they were as far away from flavor as my home is back in Texas. I had to take a picture of the remaining cube to show how fatty some of them are. It was like chewing on a condom. It was seriously unpleasant eating these.

And quantity was also disappointing. You would be too if you spent $20 on a Brisket Burnt Ends plate and just saw these 6 measly fatty cubes. I expect more for $20, or at the very least, tastier BBQ.

It's not all bad, though. I thought their potato salad was lovely. Too bad it's called Fallin's BBQ and not Fallin's Potato Salad.

The people there also seemed pretty friendly, too, which is nice. But I don't go to a restaurant for pleasantries, I go for food. And for these reasons, I will never return to Fallin's BBQ.

Brisket Burnt Ends Brisket (Half lb) were dry and stringy with no smoke flavor, tasted a lot like pot roast only drier. Pork on the BBQ Sandwich had no flavor, was under done, most likely pulled from the oven (tasted like it never saw a pit) before it was done to tenderness. BBQ sauce tasted suspiciously close to store bought Cattlemen's.

Hubby and I had to try out Fallin's Barbecue, who doesn’t love a good bbq joint! We started out with the bbq boats as the appetizer, very delish with loads of pulled pork. Hubby ordered the brisket burger and assumed it’d be pulled pork on a juicy burger, well… it wasn’t. It was two small brisket slices and the patty was not seasoned well. He had the side of baked potato fries and he said they were ok.On to my food, I ordered the chicken and pulled pork platter with the sides of Mac n cheese and fried okra. The okra was so damn good, crispy and the chicken was super moist. The mac n cheese needed tlc, the noodles under the backed cheese had no cheese and oils from the cheese used was sitting on the bottom and within the mac n cheese, only ate half. The waitress was the best of our experience, Gracie was outstanding and answered every question we had. Give that girl a raise!!

It's a nice authentic southern BBQ restaurant! I ordered the "Philly Steve" with fried okra and potato salad. It did not disappoint! Amelia, our server was super nice and tentative. If you're ever in Thonasville Ga I definitely recommend. (Sorry my fried okra got eaten prior to pic being taken) 😃

I drove 80 miles to eat here, I ordered fried mushrooms for my appetizer and pork,French fries and mac and cheese. It took forever to get my main meal and I had given up on my appetizer, so I get to eating my pork and it was ice cold and didn't have much flavor, the then brought the mac and cheese and it was good, still no fries or mushrooms. I asked for a refill and where was the rest of my food? She fixed my refill and left it sitting at the drink machine, finally she came by and I asked about my refill and she replied I fixed it and forgot to bring to you.... really? So I asked for a To go box to give to my dogs and when she brought my to go box then she came back with my mushrooms and fries. So my dogs got to eat them also. Definitely won't come back here again.

The food was ok. Nothing special the portions were small for the price charged.
Loaded collards had nothing in them.
The BBQ boats were tough and hard to chew. We weren't asked about a refill til we were done eating about 40mins later. The waitress was friendly and nice.

Update: I have been suffering from the worst case of food poisoning I've ever had in my life. Started shortly after eating the other night and lasted all day the next day. It is 3am on 3/4/24 and I'm finally not vomiting and miserable. Never again!

We ordered the papa bear platter as we usually do for the whole family. I understand that we ordered an hour before closing and that they were out of the ribs that would normally be in the meal. They only offered us to substitute in something else instead of discounting the meal so we opted to add brisket. Instead of nicely sliced brisket that was already in the the container underneath they added on cubes of fat with barely any meat. To top it off over half of our toast was burnt. I don't expect a discount and I don't expect a refund from this what I did expect was better for a restaurant that my family has come to love. I'm just extremely disappointed and I'm not sure we will return. This definitely was not $80 worth of food
