So many of these reviews when you look at their pics of the breakfast room, breakfast, etc, are for the actual PORTLAND location (Portland North). I HATE how hotels name all of their hotels by a major city and then the actual city they are located in after. So many people review the wrong location and don't realize it.

I've stayed in so many marriotts in my life that I've lost count. I usually stay at their AC hotel that's one block down, and adore their pool that they keep SO warm and have lovely staff. Decided to try Fairfield to have breakfast available before my early work schedule. The ONLY hot food available is oatmeal. No meat, eggs, potatoes, or waffle maker. Definitely NOT what I usually get when I stay at Fairfields. So I grabbed a banana and yogurt. Opened the yogurt to find mold (expiration date was still 3 days out) (see photo).

The room is dated. The shower appears to have been updated. The rest is popcorn ceilings and filthy tile grout with a slow draining sink. They have TWO luggage carts for the entire hotel.

The bed was comfortable, and the staff was reasonably friendly. The pool area was clean, but I didn't use the pool this time.

I'll be staying at AC or Element in the future.

We always stay at Fairfield Inn properties and this was our worst stay! The bed was low and hard, we brought our own pillows which helped. The photos on the website do not show how small the sink area is making it challenging to place your toiletries and getting ready. The 4 breakfasts we had were the same thing, everyday! A breakfast sandwich or quiche with NO scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages of which we are accustomed to when staying at Fairfield Inn properties. No waffle maker either. Ugh|One of the attendants at breakfast was very rude and unaccommodating. She would stand at the door and wait to bring out food. If there was a family of 4 and there were only 4 breakfast sandwiches in the warmer, the attendant would heat up some more and bring 3 -4 more sandwiches out. If another family or a few couples came to breakfast, they would have to wait for the attendant to bring more sandwiches or little quiches, sometimes waiting up to 10 min. for the attendant to refill the warmers. |Even though the hotel was in a great location, I will NEVER stay at this property again!

Had a really bad interaction with the staff member who was managing the breakfast station. We have three hungry boys who were enjoying the buffet (even though the food is very sub par), and she kept staring at us in a rude and condescending way. The buffet kept running out of food, and at one point when one of my sons asked if there was more milk, she abruptly and rudely said no. Not even 10 minutes later after we had left to check out and move things to our car we went back to grab a cup of hot water, and we saw the same woman filling up milk in the fridge. It made my son feel bad and put a damper on otherwise fun vacation.

Rooms are okay, average for the price point and star rating.

Front desk staff is cold and generally not friendly. House keeping staff were all super kind and pleasant.

Free parking is ample and convenient, location is decent. Close to the highway and only about 20 min from downtown Portland.

I had a wonderful stay at the Fairfield Inn in Portland! The room was clean and cozy, creating a comfortable atmosphere right away. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help.
The breakfasts were simply amazing! Every day there was a variety of options, from fresh fruits and yogurt to hot dishes. I would especially like to mention the kitchen staff member who always smiled and made sure all guests were well-fed and happy. Her attentiveness and care created a warm, homey atmosphere.
The hotel's location was very convenient for me - it was close to the city center and major attractions. I could easily get to all the places I was interested in.
I will definitely return to the Fairfield Inn on my next trip to Portland! I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and cozy place to stay.🥰

Staffs at breakfast longue were friendly. One of the ladies offered fresh food from her food tray when we tried to take food from the warming bin. It’s a small cozy hotel.

A bit dated, and the bed was uncomfortable. Otherwise, check-in was easy, and the front desk staff was friendly. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. The nice cool crisp air was refreshing. Accommodations were good. The room was clean, and the water temperature and pressure were good.

First time for this place. I really enjoyed the stay overall. The herd of elephants that arrived around 3:30 am was unpleasant but hey that has nothing to do with the place itself!!
