We stayed at the Fairfield for 5 nights when traveling to the area to help our son with his move to Oregon. It was the perfect location for our logistics, as well as for convenience to highway and some great restaurants. The room was very comfortable, and shower great - always like separate sink/ vanity, too. |Breakfast was fine, and one day they had a quiche selection I loved, so the person working the breakfast room made sure to rotate it in for our last morning, and everything was kept stocked and clean during breakfast. The front desk folks were super friendly and helpful also. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area!

Very friendly staff. Good location within walking distance to multiple restaurants. Close (within half a mile) to gas station and freeway entrance, but still in a very quiet setting. Very comfortable, well sized rooms with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Rooms are nice, and bathrooms are decent. The location is pretty good, next to a plaza where you could get food and groceries. Breakfast was decent with some additional options for vegetarians. Lower level rooms do feel little less private as they look out towards psrking lot.

The couch bed convertible was very uncomfortable and had springs digging in my side when I slept and there was construction at the entrance so we had to go through the back door. But otherwise everything was great the break fast very delicious

We have stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites 4 times in the past year ( one of the times was during the ice storm in January, we had no power in the hotel ) .. Whenever we come to Portland, we make sure that we do not stay anywhere else, as this hotel has been wonderful in the past.

This last experience was a little different. We had not been back since they renovated/remodeled - and quite frankly might not again after.

We choose to stay the most expensive room offered, as it has the most space, comes with a microwave, has an extra pull out couch, etc.. well, now after the remodel, the 24hour fitness room shares a wall with the room we booked. So for 3 nights ( almost $800 total ) we got little to no sleep, as people were aggressively banging weights against the ground / wall every night.

In addition to that, we found roughly 10-15 carpet beetles in our room over the course of 3 days. And anyone not familiar with carpet beetles, they like to hide in your clothes & travel home with you, to colonize in your house. And guess what we have found since returning home? You guessed it, carpet beetles.

Lastly, for a hotel that removed their hot tub ( not sure why you would ever get rid of your hot tub ) .. you might want to consider keeping the pool at like 75-80 degrees? Who wants to swim in a 68 degree pool, without the ability to warm up in a hot tub after..?

Definitely rethinking my future stay at this hotel.

We are here for three weeks and right now in the middle of week two. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation so parts of it are under construction. Overall, this is a great place in a great location and I highly recommend staying here to anyone needing high end hotel rooms. The only reason I gave service 4 stars is due to them forgetting to give us clean towels daily. I’ve needed to go to the front desk and ask but have always been met with a smile and a stack of clean towels. Breakfasts are amazing and the pool is very nice. The gym area is still under renovation. Customer service has been excellent!

Easy off the highway. Good dining nearby. Rooms were clean and modern. Breakfast was good for a Fairfield. Staff was super helpful and patient with our multiple requests at check in (extra blankets, put ice packs in the freezer, etc…).

Check out the nearby Portland Oregon Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints just a few blocks away. Even if you aren’t a member of their faith, the grounds are beautifully manicured and the flowers are amazing! Beautiful place to enjoy a walk through the gardens of flowers and trees.

Nicely updated property in a leafy setting, and such friendly, attentive, helpful staff! New large breakfast room. Free parking. There are restaurants conveniently located near the hotel too. We’ll stay here from now on when we come to visit family in the area.
