Looks Can Be Deceiving – Absolutely Awful Stay

We arrived thinking we were in for a nice experience—the curb appeal of this place is next level. We genuinely said, “Wow, we’ve arrived.” But the moment we stepped into our rooms, we realized we’d been completely tricked by appearances.

My room smelled overwhelmingly damp and moldy. The wallpaper is peeling away at the ceiling edges, and there are visible water-damaged dark spots on the ceiling. The carpet feels damp and moist underfoot, which is just disgusting. The floor itself is uneven with a noticeable dip, and everything feels neglected. The lamps are from the 80’s and just busted. One has a fluorescent bulb and the other a warm tone. Looks like they’ve been there since the 70s or 80s. The furniture is faded, beat-up, and looks like it’s been through decades of wear and tear.

I had to open my window just to breathe. I never sleep with an open window—especially not in a hotel or a place I’ve never been—but the air quality was that bad. No guest should have to compromise their safety just to get fresh air.

And it’s not just my room. I’m here with friends, and we’re all having similar experiences. Another said their fridge still had leftover food in it. The whole place feels poorly maintained and unsanitary.

Absolutely would not recommend. This place should not be in operation in its current condition. Adding this one to the “Terrible” column on our trip spreadsheet, no question.

The hotel was nice. The room was clean, sheets and towels were white, and only a couple of minor stains on the wall that I are not very noticeable. The bed was comfortable. The tub flooring was peeling a little bit, which made me think it had likely been refinished at some point. The walls were completely bare. Other than the tub and lack of decor, no complaints. Honestly, a little bit of art would have made the room feel homey as it really was clean and comfortable otherwise. The staff were kind and quick. It is definitely worth the value. They even had a nice indoor pool!

The location was perfect for my commute while staying here. The rooms were a little lack luster. They had a definite early 2000s decor in the rooms and even older style curtains. The continental breakfast was your average troupe. Waffles, cereal, muffins, and bagels. They did have a hot bar with a rotating menu all week. For the price of the stay, I expected the rooms to be a little nicer, though, so i was a little disappointed.

This hotel has a convenient location was right next to a car dealership , but close to mall, shops and eateries. Seemed to have lots of parking. Lots of boating enthusiasts were staying there and boats were everywhere. I had a king size non smoking room with a microwave and refrigerator, which is becoming rare. It had an iron, ironing board and a hairdryer. The pillows and other bedding was nice, but the mattress was giving away on one side, surprisingly, I didn’t have a backache. Lighting, tv and charging areas were sufficient. Toilet seat was broken and bathtub showed signs of rust…had been re- surfaced somewhat. The water temp and controls were adequate. Breakfast was adequate and had adequate seating. Lobby was looked clean and appealing and no pets allowed inside.

Worst experience at a hotel ever. Within 5 to 10 minutes of entering our room, we were told we would be kicked out if another noise complaint comes in. WE JUST GOT INTO THE ROOM. Then our other room was targeted. Very aggressive, pointing fingers. Overtaking. RUDE manager. I believe it was Joseph who was on duty. Please watch cameras more before you ASSume who is being rowdy. This whole hotel was PACKED with kids. Let kids have fun. He was hunting everyone down.

Check-in was pretty quick. Had a slight issue with the rate, but it was cleared up quickly. The staff was very friendly and courteous! The entrance is very nice looking and clean. The room was decent and spacious. The refrigerator would not get cold, so that was a bummer because we brought food with us that could not be refrigerated. It was a late check-in, so we did not want to go through the hassle of switching rooms for a one night stay. Also, oddly, the remote control was nowhere to be found, so we had to get one from the front counter. Other than that, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was decent. The only downside was that the food was luke warm/cold. Guests were asking to microwave their food. Other than that, breakfast was your standard hotel food: eggs, sausage, gravy and biscuit, yougurt, cereal, and a waffle station. There was plenty of space to eat and the area was very clean! Our stay here served its purpose.

Do not stay here.||||Mold and mildew in the rooms, filthy carpets that were not vacuumed, food stains on carpeting by the nightstands and bed, dead bugs around the air conditioning unit, stains on surfaces, debris on furniture like the sofa, hair on the toilet, etc. You get the idea. ||||While the outside of the hotel looks good and the lobby feels renovated or refreshed, the rooms are awful. I had two separate rooms before I left for another hotel. Both rooms had the exact same issues.||||Do not stay here.

We needed a hotel for one night. We found this Fairfield on Tickets at Work. It's not glamorous but it was clean, the beds were comfortable, the shower was nice, and the breakfast was exceptional. We'd recommend it if you're looking for a very nice stay.
