A great Welsh Fish and Chips spot in Flagstaff!

The restaurant is small, more of a pickup to-go spot. There are 3 stools inside and a handful of tables outside in the alley (mostly covered). The cod and fish combo was a healthy size and easily sharable.

The staff was very friendly and food was all cooked fresh. Fish was crispy and fries were nicely seasoned.

Located in downtown, paid street parking. Open super late on Friday and Saturday.

A real gem for Welch themed seafood. Fresh and amazing battered fish or shrimp and chips as well as some baked rolls with sausage or cheese and onion. The jumbo shrimp was heavenly. They also have sauces for the rolls which are savory and unique. Try the Dragon Sauce! And the tartar sauce is old school - the BEST. Take out only, so no atmosphere, however the local tavern will let you take your dinner into their bar.

Absolutely amazing, best fish n chips in the States so far, the chips are correct in size to soak up the vinegar, the fish is huge and delicious, growing up in England it is hard to find something to take you back there, but these did it, small hole in the wall but that's what makes it perfect. A++++

The fish was light and crispy and definitely elevated by the sauces. We finally had the chance to try a Scotch egg and really enjoyed it. Adam was kind enough to whip us up one from scratch as they had just sold out. We got the shrimp for the kiddos and they were large and perfectly fried.

First time there, out of town visitor. The food was incredible and the staff (all 1 we dealt with) was efficient effective and fun to talk to. Did I mention the fish was excellent? My partner said the steak and ale pie was uniquely delicious and the sausage roll was exceptional. The fact that there is only 2 bar stools would suggest you should plan to pick up your food and eat it somewhere more comfortable.

To start with thanks to the guys who were there that night to help us out. It was Jan 30th, 2025, Friday night around 10 to 10.30 PM. We were on our way to Grand Canyon, most for the shops were either closed or couldn't accommodate our request understandable! We found this restaurant in google, me and my friend walkedin to this restaurant after many restaurants denied us to dine in as it was late too.

Me and my friend didn't want to eat pork, I asked him if they cross contaminate with fish and chips with same fryer, oil or batter and he said sometime they do but he assured he will use fresh fryer just for the fish and chips and fresh batch of oil and prepared fresh batter to avoid cross contamination just for us. It was amazing how they wanted to go the extra mile to help us that night. They could have just said yeah we cross contaminate and couldn't accommodate the request, and they would have saved a ton of time and effort. But, they decided to help us. We didn't go empty stomach late night thanks to them..

Small place, big heart!!

If we visit Flagstaff again we will surely visit your place.

Thanks!

Must and must try their Cod Fish and Chips, Shrimp and Chips, it was juicy and hot!! Oh yeah, the ranch dip sauce was so good.

Nestled within the fabric of urban life lies Evan's Fish and Chips. Venture through the winding alleys to discover this clandestine haven. Greeted by the warm embrace of genuine hospitality, you're beckoned to indulge in the quintessential British delight: the classic cod and chips.

With each bite, nostalgia washes over like a tidal wave, transporting you to the bustling streets of London. The ethereal crunch of golden-brown cod, perfectly complemented by the velvety smoothness of mushy peas, evokes memories of foggy afternoons along the Thames. And the tartar sauce? A symphony of flavors, a whisper of seaside allure.

In a landscape cluttered with imitations, Evan's Fish and Chips stands as a beacon of authenticity. A testament to culinary craftsmanship, it reignites the flames of passion for the humble yet exalted dish. For those seeking solace in the simplicity of tradition, look no further than Evan's—a pilgrimage worthy of any epicurean adventurer.
