Came to this place for brunch for the first time and it was amazing! We were looking for brunch places and weren’t sure Esca had brunch until we called and asked but they do, and the menu looked incredible. My friend and I both had the braised short rib Benedict and it was 10/10. Service was perfect, friendly, welcoming, and helpful but not overbearing. Also everything (including the cocktails) are very reasonably priced! Highly recommend 🙂

Food was very good , although servings were much larger than I would prefer. Service was a little slow, but it was a gorgeous day after a stretch of unpleasant weather, and the restaurant had a lot of customers when we arrived. Interior is attractive (lots of stone), but rather loud because of all the stone. By the time we left, around 2:40, many people had departed and conversation was much easier. Large selection of interesting and affordable wines by the glass made me happy. Eager to return. This was my first visit, but my wife and son (a part-time chef) had eaten at Esca before and liked it.

I stopped into Esca recently as I was looking for Chicken Pacata with artichokes and capers, a lot of places don't include the artichokes. I was close and found the best chicken picata in recent history, lightly breaded chicken in a yummy lemon white sauce, thicker than usual, and more yummy than usual, and look at the artichokes!! The bread and oil served first were also top shelf. Definitely a great restaurant!! Put this one in your calendar to do list!!

Very classy atmosphere. I had the roasted beet salad with chicken, and my grandmother had the Caesar salad and the Salmon. All food was fresh, and the quinoa bites on the salmon was quite the cherry on top. Shoutout to David our server, great job!

Great Valentine’s Day Dinner at the bar. Service was excellent, drinks were reasonably priced, food was excellent. Thanks you to Sarah for being a funny and engaging bartender. I had the surf and turf, the meat was cooked perfectly, and very tasty.

This place is solid. The charcuterie board was really good to start, the shrimp cocktail was fresh, the brushetta was flavorful. The atmosphere is very clean and looks as upscale Italian as you can get before a place starts to feel stuffy. Handled our large party well. Will definitely return.

Been there quite a few times. The food is always good but it's getting a little pricey. Ordered a dirty martini, additional charge for having it "up" and another charge ($2.75) for blue cheese olives. 4 people couple apps, no wine few drinks bill in the $500 range. Plenty of great places to eat in Middletown with a much better value

Very good Italian food for a restaurant in a college town like Moddletown. Esca is popular with parents visiting as well as students celebrating milestones.
