This little gem of a place was amazing me and friends stayed here and the beds were so comfortable we almost missed breakfast! The sitting area on the porch was great especially at night when we just sat there and played games while watching rabbits and such hop through the yard. We will be staying here again very close to downtown but I do still recommend a golf cart rental it makes it easier to get to the other attractions on the island. The little video attached is of room #4.

What a gem! We stayed on a Sunday and Monday this time. Great location! A few minute walk to all the bars, shops, and restaurants! The property is beautiful! Nice big porch with multiple places to enjoy! Good breakfast selection! Waffles were freshly made both days!

We stayed at English Pines from 9/22-9/24. We rented three rooms for myself, my husband, two teenage boys and my mother-in-law. The accommodations were perfect. The beds were ultra comfortable with blankets between the top sheet and comforter that the kids were in love with (where are they from?), the rooms were very clean, the bathrooms were all very nicely appointed with several upgrades that made a nice difference. It was also in a great location a few streets from town but still far away enough for it to be quiet. The smell of breakfast was great to wake up to each morning. We loved the coffee too! I would definitely stay here again. Such a nice change from a traditional hotel room and free WiFi!

My fiance and I have stayed with Liz & Doug Knauer at their beautiful English Pines B&B several times over the years. This June, we invited 7 family members & friends to join us. Everyone expressed to me that they were extremely pleased with the unique decor of each antique furnished room (with a mini-fridge and updated baths), the cleanliness of the accommodations, the food! and, of course, the hospitality of our host & hostess. We enjoyed the front porch with our coffee in the morning and the glorious gardens with a glass of wine in the evening before dinner. The location is perfect - easy walk to everything in town but on a quiet street for sleeping. Spotlessly clean. This experience reflects those we have had on each & every visit! We stayed at English Pines B & B for 2 nights in September 2020. It was perfectly located to walk downtown but not be in the middle of all the noise and action. It is about 2 blocks from the downtown area. We looked at the room map before we made a reservation and chose one of the larger rooms. We were in room #4. I found the bed super comfortable and slept soundly. We had a private bathroom which was updated and very nice. At breakfast you could help yourself to coffee but then you told the owner what you wanted and he handed it to you on a tray. He had on gloves and a mask and we all wore a mask except when seated to eat or in our rooms. The dining area was plain but very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at English Pines four years in a row now. We have the best experience every year. Liz and Doug treat you like your part of their family, her breakfast are amazing and the patio is the perfect place to enjoy it. We have made staying at English Pines part of our yearly vacation and we hope to continue staying with them for years to come. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Really nice place! The owners are very welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The house and property are beautiful. Breakfast was awesome! Location is great because you are close to downtown but far enough away to still have peace and quiet. Price for the room is very reasonable. We would definitely go back!

Wonderful, cozy and well-located Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in Rm #3 which had a very comfy bed, nice and comfortable chairs, nicely updated bathroom, along with a mini-fridge and TV. We liked everything about the room except it occasionally got too cold. The house itself is set off from the road with a great front porch and chairs we used to read when we just wanted to take it easy. It always was quiet and tranquil which is exactly what we wanted. But when we wanted to go to a restaurant or do something near the bay, it was only minutes away either by walking or by cart. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle where they live and enjoy a casual, calm island lifestyle for a few days. If you are looking for a more peaceful time, go during the week which avoids the crazy weekend mob. And finally about the breakfast: we don't usually eat big breakfasts, so the one provided is just right. The cinnamon rolls every other day are fantastic, and the Belgium waffles were pretty good, too. Then you can get some juice, fruit, hard boiled egg, yogart and other items on the side depending on your tastes. Enjoy the food and the great atmosphere!
