My entire experience with Embassy Suites was seamless! Walkable location, great amenities and very reasonable. Shout out to Andre for his impeccable customer service skills as well as the entire Embassy staff. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return if ever in Tuscaloosa!

Me, my wife, and three kids had a wonderful stay from start to finish. We spent one night here on a road trip and the service and quality of this hotel have stuck out as we have continued on our travels. ||The room was spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were. ||The included breakfast and evening snacks were beyond our expectations and really provided so much extra value for our stay. ||Most importantly, Ondre and CC went above and beyond in service to ensure our family had a wonderful time. ||Truly the surprise stay of our 2,000 mile trip!

Positive: The location and the staff were nice Negative: It was not nearly the level of experience expected. I had to move rooms due to the cleanliness of the first room. The other room had cosmetic issues. I booked specifically for the whirpool, but it was closed and the pool was too cold to swim.

OVERPRICED and UNDERSERVED. Brand reputation will invite you to try it but the experience will cause you to cancel the next reservation. The chemical scent/smell in the hotel is obnoxious and overpowering. The blanket toppers are old. The snacks are processed junk even though the gesture is appreciated. They were out of “complimentary waters”. They do not refresh the room on 2-day stays (have been there twice and no refresh. There are room deficiencies up close including unfinished elements and overlooked maintenance. For breakfast the grits are amazing, but the omelet guy is rude. He also touches his hat with his gloves and then touches your ingredients. He is not kind or respectful. He does not make a nice omelet either. He just slops a bunch of eggs on your plate. All other staff is exceptionally friendly. Staff must be horrified that management does not do a thorough job of maintaining the rooms to a high standard or delivering a lovely breakfast experience.

We checked in Thurs, Oct 3 and have had barely warm water to shower and wash up in for 2 nights. Maintenance has not called back, everyone who is a guest here is complaining, so it must be the entire hotel!! NO HOT WATER! ||Call the front desk they tell you it will be fixed in a few hours…. It’s been 2 days! We do not see a plumbing truck on site, so telling me they are “working” on it is BS. Do not stay here and prepay for a room until you verify they have hot water!

My husband and I spent one night in Tuscaloosa for me to see an oral surgeon (University Oral & Facial Surgery-highly recommend) bright and early on a Wednesday morning. We checked in late on a Tuesday afternoon and were greeted by two smiling happy faces! We were both impressed with the attractive lobby as well as the amenities we were told about. The elevators are quick and a smooth ride. Our room was fine, maybe a little tired lol. Truthfully, it’s probably going to be sooner rather than later that they update the rooms, but as busy as this location likely stays (ROLL TIDE!), it was fine. Very clean and quiet. I personally love a Hilton mattress! We took advantage of the Manager’s Reception offered from 5:00pm-6:30pm with complimentary happy hour drinks and light bites. Very nice. The next morning we also went to breakfast and wow! What a spread. My appointment was so early we didn’t get a chance to eat but it looked amazing. I highly recommend Embassy Suites when you stay in Tuscaloosa. *Note* I’ve tried The Alamite….same location but nowhere near as clean or competitively priced. Hats off to the staff at Embassy Suites!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites mainly because of the location and the reputation of Hilton. Sadly this hotel is horrible and absolutely filthy. The sofa bed in our room had urine stains and gum. Apparently, at this particular hotel, they will not set up the sofa bed for you even though we are paying over $400 a night. The service is inconsistent. I can’t get my room cleaned for the life of me. I made sure to call housekeeping (no answer) and notified the front desk that I would like my room serviced, no luck. After a very long day of moving my son into his new home, all I wanted to do was take a shower and sleep. I came back to the hotel to find my room not serviced. I felt itchy and dirty and actually had to use some of the new linens I purchased for my son’s apartment to sleep on as I knew they were clean. Called the front desk and received an apology but that means nothing. The bare minimum for a hotel is to provide a clean room and fresh towels. This hotel can’t do either.

The front desk was not able to provide me change for $20 and the agent was flippant and unapologetic. She also provided the wrong times for breakfast. The breakfast room was dirty and silverware was not available.”Happy Hour” was a joke. They were out of vodka and wine by 5:30. Do it right or don’t do it at all. I don’t need a free drink but if you are goi g to offer it, make sure you back what you advertise.

I needed an extra key for my room , the agent made me wait for about 5 minutes before she even acknowledged me and never actually looked at me. She made it clear that I was an intrusion. She was having a full on conversation with her colleague and when she finally blessed me with a hello, she asked me what the last name was for check in. I explained that I just needed an extra key. Again, I was made to feel as if I was interrupting her.

The bare minimum is to sleep in a clean bed, with clean sheets. You will not have that experience here and you have to pay through the roof to be abused and feel dirty during your entire stay.

The staff is doing their best but there is clearly a huge issue with management. It’s too bad that this hotel has such a great location as they will continue to make money because of UA and they really could care less about the guest experience.
