I can’t give a 5 because of some minor issues. Staff was friendly. Lobby looked wonderful. Our room was not ready so we were upgraded to a larger one. The room was clean and looked good. The furniture is worn with minor scrapes and scratches. Having teens with us, we were using the pull out couch. There was no linen and upon opening the couch we found an extremely stained mattress. I spoke with the front desk and they were very apologetic and would send a new one. Within 30 minutes we had a new mattress, bedding and extra towels. Two your men, Sasha and Brandon went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank you for helping us get settled in.

As a Hilton Diamond Member, I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at the Embassy Suites Birmingham Hoover. I attempted to cancel my reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, but was informed that the hotel’s strict 7-day cancellation policy was in place due to a big football event in the area. While I understand the need for policies, I communicated my situation clearly and hoped for an exception given my loyalty and the fact that life challenges happen, even for Diamond Members.

Instead of accommodating my request, the hotel inexplicably checked me in – even though I am not even IN ALABAMA! I was told I would lose my points and incur charges for a stay I was unable to attend. This lack of flexibility and customer care is unacceptable, especially considering the status I have as a frequent guest. Hilton’s commitment to loyalty and customer satisfaction was notably absent here, and I hope this is addressed to prevent such treatment of dedicated members in the future.

I am now left to sort out, complain, and figure out how to get my points and charges refunded – a disappointing and frustrating experience from a brand I have supported for years.

Loved Embassy Suites in Hoover! However, it does fall short of 4 stars due to a few minor inconveniences as mentioned in other reviews. The room keys constantly needed updating at the front desk. We probably received 4 or 5 updated keycards during our stay. We were informed that they are getting a new system in July which should fix that issue. We also experienced some issues with our reservation, but Collie, the front desk manager, was terrific! He was so pleasant and helped us out a lot. The pool was closed often due to cleaning but we were able to get one day in after waiting for engineers to unlock the door. Most of the staff were great. But, there are a few who look like they don't want to be bothered. We did wait 6 hours to get toilet paper, which is a bummer, but room service was friendly. The breakfast, restaurant and Happy Hour was a bonus! The hotel has great decor with an inviting lobby and bar area full of seating and cozy places to socialize. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Plenty of good dining options nearby. Will definitely return!

Nothing bad to say about this location. I've stayed in plenty of embassy suites and this may be the nicest one yet. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean and inviting, room was amazing, breakfast was great and the happy hr/ evening reception was great. Would definitely recommend this location and can't wait to return

I am highly disappointed ☹️ in this Embassy Suites with the smell of the carpet and the smell of the room. I had two different color light bulbs in the bed room. Perhaps one was a day light and one was a cool light. Furniture definitely needs to be updated and the room was not Hilton standard clean. |The customer service was not the best from the engineer who brought sheets that should have been in the room and the extra I asked for. I am still waiting for the extra sheets. No excuse they are sold out and have limited sheets. Definitely will not be back. I wonder why they have a four star rating on Trip Advisor? ?

This is one of the nicer Embassy Suites I've stayed in. And I travel all over for business. Big, beautiful open lobby and bar restaurant area. Room and all public spaces spotlessly clean. It seems quite a few Embassy Suites I've stayed in are old and tired. Not this one. Very friendly and professional front desk staff. Alyssa is very good. Bartender is great, restaurant is also good. Great steak restaurant right across the street. Free parking!!!

We chose this hotel because we were hoping for better/more service. We are Hilton Diamond Honors members, but I will tell you, the Embassy Suites in Hoover couldn’t care less who you are. Their service is absolutely horrible. We checked in on Thursday and checked out today, Monday, the 16th. We called at least 2 to 3 times daily requesting housekeeping, but never once received it. We had to take care of our own trash. We had to beg for towels. We had to go out and buy our own shampoo, hand soap, etc. We had to beg for toilet paper. There was not even a Kleenex in the box. Completely empty. ||We tried to order room service, which was a disaster. They made us come down and get our food, making multiple trips because they didn’t provide cutlery, napkins, etc. We tried to eat in the restaurant as well, but the service was equally poor. We felt like we were at a snack bar at the pool. We had to get up and go to the bar and ask for everything from drinks, to straws, to cutlery, to ordering our food, etc. ||On the morning that we were leaving, housekeepers knocked on the door starting at 9:00am to find out when we were leaving so that they could now clean our room for the next guests. Didn’t see a single housekeeper for 4 days, but saw multiple as they harassed us to get out of our room. ||We NEVER used the “do not disturb” sign because we were gone to the ball field each day. We contacted the front desk a total of 16 times for to complain. If you ever want to feel invisible, go to the Embassy Suites in Hoover, Alabama. ||Finally, to top it all off, I reached out directly in writing to Collie Freeman, front desk manager, and Natalya McClellan, Executive Housekeeper. It was clear to me when they both ignored my emails why their staff are terrible. Attitude reflects leadership, so there you go. ||Do yourself a favor. Get an Air B&B because you will have to do everything for yourself anyway and it will be cheaper. ||Beyond disappointed.

Check-in was great, room was large in size, wasn't permitted to select room with digital check-in but was given a room at check-in on a high floor that was furthest from the elevator which is my preference, breakfast was typical Embassy Suites which is excellent. Location of this hotel was convenient for us as there were places to eat nearby and we look forward to staying here again if the opportunity presents itself.
