Lovely room, great location, nice amenities, super hospitality. We enjoy a bit more "grounds" aesthetics. Loved the honor system and the complimentary snacks and drinks available. Weather did not cooperate for enjoying the fire pit but that's weather for you. Room was very comfortable and location very good

My husband and I live in Flagstaff and have stayed at many of the hotels (including luxury like Enchantment) and this is our favorite place to stay in Sedona. It is such a cozy, yet well-appointed place. Comfy beds, linens, yards for the dogs in some rooms, great decor, great amenities, best location, and Shelly is the kindest person. We will continue to stay here as long as they will have us.

I cannot recommend El Portal enough for those who want a cozy, homey eclectic and non-commercial warmly personal experience! I just stayed there solo over Christmas and it’s very challenging to find a situation during a time people usually spend together, with enough privacy yet amenities, atmosphere, activities and beauty that for me, it was a the best solo Christmas ever! ||I stayed 5 nights in #10 the Greene and Greene room. It was bigger and more beautiful than the site photos can depict. Everything from the soft blue/ green stucco walls to the private deck fire pit to the jetted tub and the sound of the fountain outside made staying inside lovely as well as a short walk across to Tlaquapaque and a central location from which to drive to hiking and the landscape just perfect for me. The lovely touches such as the lobby fireplace lit, the morning coffee made early and the goodies in the 24 hour area for guests made the welcome feel even warmer. ||First time to Sedona but the hosts were amazing in providing everything to help orient and give helpful info from tours to restaurants and the in room guides really helped. ||Mostly I’d like to give a warm hug and big thank you to Shelly, Terry and the three lovely housekeeping ladies as well as Kyle who carried my very heavy suitcase upstairs, to the owners Steve and Connie for the perfect stay. I loved my experience so much that I booked 8 nights for next year in the same room before I left!

First time in Sedona. With the drive in, we passed plenty of beautiful hotels, when we came to this small dirt road tucked away I thought I wasn’t going to like this place. My opinion quickly changed once we walked through the entrance and was met with a beautiful courtyard. They did everything right here. The main lobby is locked at night but your room key will get you in, where you can select from a verity of complementary drinks and snacks or sign out an alcoholic beverage to charge to your room. The rooms are stunning and immaculate. Within walking distance of almost anything you’d want to do in town, i highly recommend you stay here!

Amazing place. Total gem. Owner's are extremely kind & caring. Room was immaculate & beautiful, impeccable service. Courtyard with wood fire & pond..so cool, walking distance to downtown. Extremely unique old school hospitality that you lose with the modern day corporate hotel resorts.

Steve we are a guest / customer for life. Thank you!

Stayed here two weekends ago and had a fine time. The proprietors were super helpful and I arrived at the start of busy season because the prices sure reflected it.

I managed to get the Grand Canyon Suite because of a cancellation due to hurricane Helene. This was the stay that I wanted: near everything in town instead of a resort/spa. Not my usual, but the inn was great for my mood.

I would recommend staying here, especially if you want to be near Tlaquepaque. It's a stone's throw away. Enjoy!!

If you’re looking for a quiet setting with beautiful rooms, excellent amenities and the service to match this is your destination. The rooms were large and very comfortable. Everything worked really well including the shower. They even have s’mores in the evening.! This is a pet friendly hotel.
