One of our favorite places to grab breakfast or lunch (Don’t hesitate on that Loco Moco!!). We are always warmly welcomed and the food is delicious. Don’t forget to grab a pic with the lovely mural walls!!!

Quaint, eclectic local eatery. Sooooo good! SUPER SUPER customer service. They took pics of our whole party and posted them immediately on FB. I had the Cesar Shrimp Wrap and it was outstanding. The curly fries were a bit crunchy and chewy, that's why I have them 4 stars for the food. Prices are right in line with what you pay at any take out spot in the last frontier (which was culture shock for this girl from Raleigh, NC). ? Don't miss this spot if you're in Fairbanks, AK.

Went to DW Grill & Catering for the first time in 6 or 7 years. Weird how fast time goes it didn’t seem that long ago.

Lots of changes since my last visit, like the innovative touch screen ordering stations so you don’t feel like you’re holding up the show with your (or my) ordering indecisiveness, and now a really expanded menu.

Decided on the sunshine burger, with the bacon cheesy ranch curly fries and a cherry Pepsi.

The fries were so good. Fight me, but curly fries are the supreme form of fries. The seasoning was perfect and the cheesy ranch bacon combination was a solid mashup of some of the best flavors. Those got eaten immediately.

The burger was pretty tasty, had a nice char on the outside and the bun was toasted, so a great crunch mouthfeel but too much not like im eating a cracker. Was cooked medium-well but was hoping for pinkish center (I’ll take the risks for flavor!) which was an option on the mobile ordering screen. Burger was great overall though, very happy with it.

Only real bug for me was I chose a special burger and I kinda assumed the tablet would auto populate what one would expect on the burger from the picture, and then you work off that, but I had to manually choose every single item including the egg and how to cook it (which made me feel like I just designed my own burger versus ordering the one on the menu) and I just could not figure out on the fly how to get pickles with the lettuce and tomato ? next time.

DW I feel is a somewhat hidden gem of Fairbanks and I highly recommend it. The owners are amazing people, super friendly family atmosphere, and they’ve done a great job with the small business. Even with the time that has passed I can still highly recommend eating here and I will be back, this time with my family.

Food was freshly prepared and delicious. The okra and okra sauce is a must if you like okra. Breading was tasty and not too thick. The sauce had good flavor. We also enjoyed catfish, Buffalo chicken sandwich & Fries.

A couple days ago I had visited DW; I normally love this place, however my recent experience was way left field. I messaged them on Facebook to solve the problem and gave them a couple days to respond, however they just read it. I get it, people have bad days, this is unacceptable. So here’s my experience from last week.
I had placed an order for me and my coworker, to come pick up.
The first time I called, I got hung up on. Whatever, no big deal.
I called back, got put on a hold. Again, no big deal. It was picked up timely and I had a hard time hearing the lady on the phone. She had a horrible attitude and seemed to be frustrated with me as I couldn’t hear her very well. I’m not sure if it was the connection or what.
She was cutting me off with my order or trying to rush my order.
I was giving her the second order and she cut me off, so then I repeated that there was no onions to make sure she got that and rudely cut me off again, and said “I already got that”.
Then ultimately told me “it’ll be ready soon” and hung up on me. No thank for your order or anything. No comment about what the total would be. I got attitude the whole time, I didn’t say anything, I just let it fly. I honestly didn’t want to come get my order, however my coworker was busy. I never got frustrated with her. So I’m stumped. When I did go to pick up my food, I saw that it was busy and I just decided to have some Grace. I then messaged them the issue and situation and got ignored. But what occurred and how it went down was unacceptable in my opinion and downright disrespectful.

It was my first time in DW and Winna (one of the owners) came up and provided us some insight on the menu, informed us on the specials of the day and how to order on the kiosk. She was extremely helpful, friendly and very easy to talk to. The remainder of the staff was also very friendly and came to check on us multiple times while waiting for food and after food delivered to our table. The place was very organized, clean and you could tell the owners take pride in their work. All 3 of us in my group enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back again.

The seating area is on the smaller side but it clears out pretty quickly as long as you are patient enough to wait a few minutes or there is a to go option.
