For the price it can't be beat. It's the best place to stay for a quick overnight on the way through the panhandle or a stop at the caverns. My room was clean and comfortable. I would have preferred an extra lock on the door for security but everything was fine. The parking lot was safe as well for overnight parking. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. I was able to drive in same day and get a room. The breakfast diner downstairs is definitely the move for breakfast. There's a fabulous mexican restaurant around the corner, you could walk if you need to.

This is the best kept secret in Woodward. The room was CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! No amenities to speak of that you find in larger chains, buy the attention to cleanliness is superior to hotels that are over twice the cost. I have stayed at several hotels in Woodward, and was reluctant to choose this one due to the low price point, and no affiliation. I was quite pleased! The A/C rocks, but the hot water is not endless like in a larger hotel. That's the only minor critique I have. Way better than expected in this price point!

First place I saw when I drove into town. Cheap for the night! Room was clean, and I feel pretty safe. I have stopped 4x at big name motels along the way and every motel was so dirty! Glad I stopped here for the night! Woman who checked me in was so pleasant! Thanks for the service!

The outside may look a little dated but the rooms are great. Everything was clean, the room smelled nice, bed comfortable, ac cold, and the staff was kind. Great value. I've stayed in hotels in Woodward much more expensive, but not nearly as nice. Definitely a hidden gem.

We stayed last Saturday in room 29. The room was large
and very clean; cleaner than the Best Western we stayed in
the previous night at double the price. Two beds. The bed we slept in was very comfortable. The bathroom and an exhaust fan.
We arrived later than we planned and Heather who checked us
in called us to find out when we would arrive since they close
the office at 9:00.
They have a diner on sight that wasn't open, but Heather gave
us a recommendation for the Polly Anna Diner a few blocks away
where we had an enjoyable breakfast.
We enjoyed our stay and visiting with Heather and her husband,
Lester. Very nice people.

This place is exactly what you would expect for the price. No frills, no wifi, no cable, no hbo, heck even the ice machine was broken. I would not take my wife here. BUT they were really friendly and help as much as they could. They did not mind my dog being with me, no extra charge. The room was clean and had microwave and fridge. This is the kind of place I like when I am out doing guy stuff. Could not beat the price for a cheap place to sleep.

There were several things about the Downtown Motel that we did not care for. First of all - ladies, be aware that they do NOT have hair-dryers in the rooms or available to borrow from the front desk! Although, I was told later that if I had gone to the nearby WalMart and purchased a hair-dryer to use, they would have reimbursed me! Wish I'd known that before I stood out in the wind and heat to dry my hair! We would have enjoyed having a TV channel listing guide in the room too. The bathroom was tiny, but, thankfully, there was a sink outside of the toilet/shower area. It would have been nice if there had been a towel-rack by the sink, but there was not. We made a list of about 11 items that the room needs, and gave it to the manager when we checked-out. It wasn't a very expensive place to stay, but we stayed there because we noticed online that it was given a 5-star rating!! Must have been friends and family of the owners/managers because we would have stayed in another hotel if we'd known. I must say that the provided, included in the room price, breakfast the next morning, was pretty good. Our server, we don't think, understood a lot of English though - there were several things that we had to have redone, rebrought, etc. It was an okay overnight stay though.

We like to stay in locally owned properties while traveling whenever possible. The Downtown Motel did not disappoint! Recently remodeled - the rooms were clean and comfortable - no complaints! We had reservations for 3 rooms for a one night stay. The day before we were to arrive, the owner contacted us to confirm, due to a maintenance issue. On arrival, the maintenance issue was a still a concern. He was able to accommodate our group with a slight change, and gave us a discount for our trouble. ||||All of our group had stayed previously once or twice under the previous owners. The new owner has done a great job with an older property to remodel it. We have no complaints! If you are looking for a fancy chain, go to a fancy chain. If you are looking for a reasonably priced room, that is clean and comfortable, stay here. |||| The added touch is the included breakfast in the diner. The choices are limited on the menu, but all is freshly made. You have the option to order from the entire menu and pay the difference. Our server did not understand English well, but my limited Spanish helped! ||||We will definitely stay here when in the area!
