Is a great place as far as updating the rooms go; modern, hospitable, spacious, etc... everything we love to see in a hotel. As far as cleanliness goes; we found bed bugs in our room - room 335 - crawling all over our bed and pillows (blood 💎s all over the pillows under the pillowcases) on the 2nd night of our stay) - the owners gave us our money for the 2nd night back so we could do our laundry somewhere offsite since they do not have a laundry room on the property but I still believe everyone should be aware that this problem does exist here, especially in this room in particular - bed bugs are no joke and I would not wish an infestation on my worst enemy.

The room I'm in is clean. However, there were fleas in the room. I'm here for business and didn't like getting eaten up at night by fleas. Luckily, I know a trick to get rid of them without making a big deal about it. Location of the motel is perfect for me only because I'm working in the area. Everything i need is right here. It's quiet, and everyone who is staying here is nice and respectful. Service here is good. The owners are nicer than I had expected and they make sure that you are comfortable and rooms are clean. Fresh bedding when you want. I would definitely stay here again. It's not a 5 star place but for it being a motel it's not bad if your balling on a budget.

The hotel is making improvments currently. The rooms are cleaned between visitors and cleaned. The staff is friendly and fair as well as business oriented. The atmosphere is quiet with nearby musem, churches, library, and schools. The train is directly beside the hotel and active on a regular. The grocery stores are close but a far walk and I can get to them by foot and back on occation. There is availability for pets and each owner is reapomsible for having a leash due to more than one animal on sight with the rare stray cat. I have seen one bug in my room and stayed in different rooms since my stay here. The staff is limited for good reason as business is slower in winter. They still meet all the standards of a good hotel. They respect multipal languages and indifferences. Online language interpintation can be used to assist with booking needs. Visitors have been good also with no major dilemma. I say Dover inn is a good hotel. The need for basic yard defication is the reaponsibility of the animal owner but the reason for fly in hotter weather and should be reinforced by staff if not place the poo station post nearby for easy use of poo bags and discarding. The hotel is good.

This place was a complete crap hole. Bathroom ceiling was falling in smelled like mold. Tried to get a refund and they refused. Says there’s nothing wrong with the room. Don’t stay here horrible horrible customer service

Positive: Nothing Negative: The heater didn?t work. They brought me 2 blankets. Outside temperature was 35 degrees. Bathroom ceiling was not finished with electrical wiring hanging down. No cups, coffee pot or glasses. Musty smell in room and very few channels on the tv.

Disgusting place. Says remodeled and it is not. They ripped a hole in my package from Amazon to see what it was. They also stole a $5,000 piece of equipment that was sitting right next to my spouses work truck for maybe an hour and there is a camera pointing DIRECTLY at the truck. Got told 3 different stories as to why they can’t get the camera footage. They even LIED TO THE POLICE and said that they are under new management and “that’s why they can’t get the footage”. That was the THIRD DIFFERENT STORY THEY TOLD. They are liars and thieves & should be investigated.

Do not stay here. The pictures show seemingly clean fresh rooms, that is not what you get. After entering my dingy stinky room, my girlfriend and I found an endless list of issues. The room was clearly not cleaned and prepped for us. There were dirty sheets and surfaces, past guest leftovers in the fridge, a clogged sink with dirty water in it, I think I killed about 8 spiders that had obviously been there a while (webs and all) and more. We even found a few dead bugs under the fitted sheets. We decided we were not going to sleep in the room and had to buy another room at a different hotel. When I tried to state the issues and receive a refund, the owner was unwilling to work with me and had poor excuses. I am now having to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
