A really nice hotel that I would stay at again.
What I liked:
Spacious rooms
Nice views of the mountains
Quiet property
Luscious linens
Comfortable beds
Beautiful lobby with bar and restaurant that I did not try
The best room darkening curtains ever!
What needs improvement:
Shower too hot unless faucet was turned to almost off. Then, of course there was little water pressure
No microwaves in rooms.

More yeas than nays for sure. I recommend a stay!

Literally one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. My rooms were supposed to be ready after 3:00 and only one was. The other room was finally ready around 4:45. If you do not book the tower rooms, your room’s access is facing a street or parking lot. We found a used condom in the stairwell.

The rooms had a very odd smell, hard to describe. Kind of like stale sour wood and cleaning solution. On our last night, we saw cockroaches running across our room!

I definitely do not recommend staying here unless you like smelly rooms with cockroaches.

For a Hilton I was expecting way more. The bed was hard (but that is because I love a softer bed) the room smelled musty. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so you have to open the window to release the steam. Which is causing the wallpaper to peal in the bathroom. The bathroom was so small that you had to close the door all the way to get in the shower. The little vanity mirror light they give you didn't work and there was a broken tile in the transition between the tile and carpet (I almost fell because it was wobbly). The guest services was great but just expected more from a Hilton in regards to the room. I guess we didn't have bed bugs so there is that.

I’ve stayed here twice in the last month and both times were equally pleasant. The rooms in the tower are comfortable, spacious and quiet. The view of the mountains is lovely. The parking is plentiful and I always felt safe. The interior grounds are nice as well. Breakfast service is a bit on the slow side so be prepared for a leisurely one and the food is just ok. The location is super convenient to where I needed to go. It would be my go to place when visiting again.

Staff have been excellent, professional, and helpful. My bathroom door was locked when I arrived and they handled it quickly. My room was cold all night even with the heat set at a warm temperature, my room smelled dank when I arrived, and the bed is the most uncomfortable I have experienced at a Hilton property. The people I am traveling with stayed in a different room and they had none of these issues so I guess I just got a subpar room.

The staff was awesome! The Courtyard room I got at first was very cold and had a yucky smell. They moved me to another room that was still cold, but didn't stink
I had been looking forward to my Courtyard room, but it was so cold (overnight lows in the 30s...yes, it gets chilly in the desert). I split the cost of the room between points and cash. I asked for some compensation since the bathroom was so cold I couldn't shower and the room needed a space heater. That all said, the manager said the rooms in the tower had been completely redone. I would stay here again, but I will ask for 2 space heaters if I choose the Courtyard room.

Front desk staff was very helpful. But the hotel is showing its age. The room was fine and safe, just dated.

But the breakfast was abysmal. The restaurant charges roughly $15/meal, but the food is inedible. For $15, you get the same continental breakfast fare as any lower-tier Hilton property, but somehow lower quality. $15 for rehydrated, runny, vile eggs, multiplied across an entire family, was very disappointing and beneath the brand.

I really enjoyed my stay at this DoubleTree location while on a work trip. The rooms were great, as well as the location, and the service was wonderful. I’d like to specifically highlight Dana who runs the Cactus Cafe downstairs as an exceptional staff member and she is consistently thoughtful, hard-working, and kind!
