Stayed here for an out of town wedding, was very happy & impressed with our accommodations. Staff was very friendly & helpful, from the front desk to the housekeeping, we were always met with friendliness & a smile. Also enjoyed the full bottles of shampoo, conditioner & lotion for your use in the room instead of the standard single use bottles you're usually given. Beds & pillows were very comfy. You made our stay very pleasurable & will return if ever in the area. Oh & the hot chocolate chip cookies were a wonderful touch!😋

It was fine. Not exactly what I was expecting. If you paid $80 a night for this hotel, It would be what you would expect from that price range. However, since you do pay quite a bit more, I expected it to be nicer. It's just a bit shabby, add in the fact that you pay $9 per person for a below average continental breakfast... The cookies were great!

Upon arrival staff was friendly and professional. I initially got placed in room 609. As soon as I opened the door, I was met with a foul odor of an unclean room (body odor) as if the linen had not been changed in a while. I was given a 2nd room; 422 which smelled better but when I got in the bed I noticed the raggedy sheets had hair in them as if they weren’t changed between customers stays. Also the showers water temperature was lukewarm and unpleasant. The attached restaurant was a delight.

Did an overnight on a business trip. We got the suit because of the bar type kitchen it was different. We had the two room suit with L shape kitchen. The room was ok, spacious. No bed bugs. The best part of the hotel they had an actual Starbucks that used the app.
The area seemed fine. We had room service and the food was ok. No huge complaints.

I stayed in this hotel in what would be considered downtown newark. Newark is not very big but yet it's built like a city and not a town. The hotel was very nice and within walking distance of bars and pizza, The bed was great, as was the TV, which actually had a working guide, The bathroom wasn't super fancy but nice and functional, There is a resturuant and a starbucks attached. The breakfast is better than average for sure but it isn't free, You either pat $13 when you book or when you eat, Will stay again.

Update - We have now actually stayed here - previous review was only for banquet facilities. Brittany amd Tabitha were both so friendly and efficient. The beds were seriously the MOST comfortable hotel beds ever. The fan was able to run all night (white noise- yay!) and did NOT kick on and off all night, allowing us to have two amazing nights' sleep. If you are looking for clean, very comfortable, welcoming accomodations, this is it. If you want new, it is not. It is definitely an older holtel and it could use some updates, for sure, but we will never stay anywhere else when we come to Newark! Old review from December 23, 2024 - We held a birthday celebration in one of the banquet rooms. The staff (friendly and attentive) accommodations and food were all fantastic. We didn't stay, so I can't comment on the rooms, but the lobby, banquet room and lobby bathrooms were spotless. The food was GREAT, even for the three of us with dietary restrictions - Chef made sure we were not neglected. Thank you, Double Tree!!!

I’ll just let the pictures speak for itself the room was the most nastiest room ever and the lady did not care at all. Also the hair is definitely not mine my hair is 3 inches long
