Easy to locate & close to the airport (if that is your desire) checkin was smooth as was checkout. Lobby was clean & inviting. Ample parking & seemed safe, had no issues. This property is close to almost everything you would need via a short drive or an extended walk. Room was clean & quiet. Everything worked as advertised, the A/C could be put on fan which helps with the white noise. I requested more towels as there was an insufficient amount in the bathroom, they promptly brought them up. Thanks for that! The Bar/Restaurant was good for dinner & breakfast. Didn’t try the pool or exercise area, didn’t have the time. WiFi was solid everywhere i walked on the property. Staff was helpful & friendly. Over all, a good stay, I shall return when back in the area. They also have a shuttle to and from the airport.

Enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree in Columbus Ga Sept 20-21. Shawna at the front desk was very professional and nice. Greeted me with a smile. Very informative. I would give her a thousand stars for excellence customer service. Thank you so much

Cleanliness is questionable. The staff was excellent. Floors were horribly dirty. Housekeeping is not real housekeepers. The photos are how the room looked after housekeeping came in and supposedly cleaned the room. This is how a clean hotel room looks, apparently. When you first walk in the room looks very nice. However, that changes after you're in the room for a few minutes and notice the nasty floors, tub, and walls. I do not recommend

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was beyond terrific. So accommodating and kind.
The only complaint was how noisy the a/c was. It was like a plane was landing outside our room when turning on. Thank God I brought ear plugs.

Room was clean and comfortable but without mini fridge or microwave. Air conditioner was set to 60 but slept on top of covers because it didn't get cool enough.

I recently stayed at the Double Tree Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon entering my room, I was horrified to find it not clean. Bedding had stains (blood stains) in them. I was awaken around 2:00 AM, and was again horrified to find bedbugs crawling in the bedding of my family members room. This immediately raised concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards at the hotel.
To make matters worse, the service was abysmal. When I called the front desk to ask for fresh towels, I was met with indifference and a noticeable delay in response. We were told 3 times that no fresh towels were available. Then we asked a fourth person and all of a sudden fresh towels appeared. I felt like I was begging for basic amenities that should be readily available to guest.
I was told that I would be reimbursed for the first night's stay due to the bedbug situation. I had to call about 4 times to get reimbursed. Overall, my stay was marred by discomfort, frustration, and a lack of proper customer care. I would strongly advise potential guest to reconsider staying at the Doubletree Hotel until they can guarantee better cleanliness and service standards. (I wouldn't even give it one star)

I was part of a Vietnam Veterans reunion group of 80 people. Having used DoubleTree hotels elsewhere and had a pleasant experience each time, I was looking forward to this visit. I booked way in advance to get a guaranteed roll-in shower room, as I use a walker 24/7. Sadly, things started going down hill quickly. Upon arrival I was told that my guaranteed room was not available because occupant extended his/her stay. As far as reception staff was concerned that was the end of the discussion. It took several requests for a manager, before a lady who identified herself as Operations Manager had a long discussion with my sister (who brought me to Columbus but did not stay) before they asked the occupant in "the other" roll in shower room to move (I am grateful to that person!). Upon arrival in the room I discovered the "roll in shower" was 4 inches higher than the bathroom floor and was entered by a steep tile ramp that no wheelchair-bound person could manage; the tile was as slick as an ice rink when wet and could have easily caused a terrible fall. It did not get better -- there was no telephone in the room! It took two days before maintenance brought and installed one. Several others in our veterans group said their reservation was "lost'' (we had a large group room block). Service in restaurant slow. General attitude of entire hotel was ho hum, no sense of welcome or service attitude.
