Diamond Lake resort is the ideal place to stay if you are visiting Crater Lake National Park. Its only 20 minutes drive via the north entrance to Crater Lake. It also has boats for rent on the lake and its own facilities such as a restaurant.
The staff here are fantastic. I was able to get really good coffee at 7am and everyone was helpful and friendly. The paperwork for renting a boat is a bit OTT, but it was great to go out on the lake and you get some really amazing views.
The room we had was great. It’s a bit warn but clean and very comfortable, certainly better than I expected from a 2* resort. We had great views over the lake. The one below us (27) had a patio by the lakeside as you can see in the pictures.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, full of flavour and good quality. It was great to have this on site for lunch and dinner.
If you are going to Crater Lake, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed for 4½ days, it was lovely. Freezing outside with tons of snow but it was a very nice place. Ate at the restaurant one of the nights and the food was delicious and served fast even with a party of six. Souvenir shop was pretty pricey, got an adult sweat shirt, 2 little stuffies, 2 gatorades, and an small mixed air heads candy and was almost $100 but i still recommend going for even a few days👍 definitely worth it. Also house keeping was great, made sure we had enough of everything. Only dislike was there was no wifi in the cabin and service was very spotty 😝

Awesome place to be during the winter! get to snowmobile from out rooms they have a bar and awesome food. We come down also for the OSSA convention and its always a good time and their hospitality is great! Hopefully this year they will keep that bar open longer into the night.

We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite for 2 nights. The room was amazing! The only complaint we had was the bed. It's not the most comfortable, but still a pretty great stay. The staff were very warm and inviting. I'm not being dramatic when I say the whiskey Ribeye was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. The staff inside the Bailey Room made their rounds to talk to the customers, answer questions, and just chit chat. Really refreshing! The location itself was breathtaking. Went on a little walk on Saturday to take in the view. We will be back!

Diamond Lake Resort, nestled in Umpqua National Forest, offers a rustic yet charming escape with stunning views of Mount Bailey and Mount Thielsen. The resort features cozy cabins, a lodge, and RV sites, making it ideal for year-round outdoor adventures. In summer, enjoy boating, fishing, and hiking, while winter brings snowmobiling, skiing, and ice fishing. While the scenery is unbeatable, some facilities feel outdated, and service can be hit-or-miss. Dining options are limited but convenient. Overall, it’s a great base for exploring Toketee Falls and Crater Lake, perfect for nature lovers seeking relaxation and adventure.

Literal lifesavers. We’d hoped to be clear of a winter storm before it got too bad with our travel trailer but no such luck. With still another 60 miles to go until our planned stop and going half the speed limit because the roads were covered in ice, we decided we had to find somewhere to stop. We’d had a few close calls and it was already 8 pm when I called Diamond Lake Resort asking if they had any RV spots for the night and they graciously gave us one of the few available during winter, filled our fresh water tank, and let us use a room for a hot shower. The crew at Diamond Lake is so kind and we are beyond grateful.
