Desert Paradise RV Resort - Yuma, Arizona

This was our first "RV resort" experience. The park was clean and staff friendly/helpful. The facilities were kept clean, but were very dated and needs updating. A little paint/repair work would go a long way. During our stay the park was about half full. The other campers/residents were very friendly and welcoming. It is located on the outer edge of town, with shopping and restaurants within biking distance. Since this was our first experience we rated it a 3. We would stay again.

People here are great. Spaces are clean and spacious enough.

I won't give more than 4 stars to any RV park that doesn't allow packages (ie All Western Thousand Trails....who want up to $10/package and won't allow anything except med or critical RV parts...sheeeesh!!!). Here, they will allow anything and even deliver them right to your RV!!!!!!

Pool is nice. Hot tub very good. Activities and meals are great social events. The northern lane is a little loud with road traffic and trains, but overall not bad. Good access to sand trails for off-road. Well lit at night. Seems safe and everyone is friendly.

Will certainly return (and hopefully get a spot further from the road 😉 )

A nice RV Resort. Centrally located near freeway, shopping and resturants. Great size lots for big rigs. Concrete patios with full hookups. Well maintained facilities and many activities. Great staff. One of our favorite place in Yuma.

We arrived at 5:05 pm and found the office closed. We called and called the number shown on the office door - no answer. We drove next door to it's sister facility and again, no staff and no answer on the phone. After waiting and looking around the property for nearly an hour, one of the current residents walked by and suggested that if we have reservations to just pick a site and setup. We never found any "host site" to knock on and we were hungry by this point so we randomly picked a site, setup and then went looking for a restaurant. The campground shares the area with mobile homes and all the sites are on gravel. From what I saw, the campground looked clean. I'd recommend that if they are going to close the office before all reservations have checked in, that they put out late-arrival folders with the check in instructions. I've seen that work well at other campgrounds.

Older facility but well taken care of. Carol at the front office is wonderful and so considerate to help however she can. My wife and I (Roy and Kathy Voeller) enjoyed this park so well, we booked another three week stay for three weeks from now at this writing. My wife loved the line dancing lessons, especially the teachers, the jam session and chair yoga. Also was so happy with being able to attend activities at the park next door as there is a connecting path to get to it. Enough activities to keep you entertained! Even an occasional lunch or dinner offering. You pay for it but price was right. |Laundry room was great. Nice large capacity washers and dryers. Although, having to use the CSC laundry cards is not our cup of tea. Not a deal breaker though. |The community of permanent residents are very friendly and welcoming to us rv travelers. If you have dogs you’ll really appreciate the dog park area. Huge and so well maintained. |Overall I enjoyed our time here and definitely recommend it!

We enjoyed our stay at Desert Paradise. Our site was a good size and close to amenities. The pool was beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed the St. Patrick's Day dinner and the craft fair. We met new friends and had a great time!

Have to purchase a laundry card, which is only $2 but really? No one shows you how to add money to it, but you can. Sites are very tight and the trains that are almost 24:7 are very loud. If you can sleep with a sound machine or ear plugs then it’s a nice park. Also, dogs aren’t allowed to do their business anywhere in the park, I tried telling my dog not to pee, but, that didn’t go over too well with him. The only place to take him was outside the park on a busy street. Tight spots and no dog park, only negatives. Everything else was wonderful. Nice people, 55 over only and everyone was super friendly.

Older RV Resort. Swimming Pool & hot tub. Shuffle board & horseshoe pit. Paved streets. Very narrow spaces. Very few 50 amp spaces. Mix of RV's and Park Models. Nothing very special. A declining park, poor maintenance, intrusive management.
