DANGER! WARNING! AVOID!

Stayed here for a week and had random entrances in my room despite have "do not disturb" sign on door. Pillows were moved around, hair in the tub (not mine!), TV channels changed to BET, random furniture moved... I had to purchase a security camera by the end of the week after alerting this to the front desk.

I had to stay a 2nd week here and had my security cameras packed, but never used them because the hotel was OVERBOOKED and DIDN"T HAVE A ROOM FOR ME!!!! I had a reservation and payment, I showed up after a flight delay at 1am and was told, without ANY PRIOR NOTIFICATION or notice, "go figure it out for yourself." I was literally left outside with my bags at 1am calling to find a room for the week.... even though I had a booked and confirmed reservation.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Stayed there starting the week of Oct. 28th 2023 in Bldg. #1 Suite #141. The resort was nice but our accommodations were less than desirable. The appliances were mismatched, the sheetrock needed several repairs, the furniture was worn, the escutcheon on the ceiling fan had fallen down and the whole thing needed painting and updating. Very disappointed! Definitely would not recommend this place! Poor excuse for an upgrade!

My family of six has stayed at this resort each April for the past five years. During that time period, there have definitely been constant improvements, but I have to admit I have never encountered anything like the reviewer that found the accommodations so awful that they left the next morning?! Yes, the sleeper sofas are not that comfortable, there were a few stains on a few of the dining room chairs, but otherwise, everything is extremely comfortable, extremely clean, and the decor has been updated in each of the five units we have stayed in (two bedroom units and three bedroom units). I love the peacefulness of this resort, the 17,000 acres of hiking that is right outside any door of the property, and the comfortableness and well-equipped units. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly, highly recommend this resort. However, if you are looking for resort-directed activities, this is not the place for you. Lots to do around the resort, but the resort it QUIET. Yet we have a 5 year old and a 14 year old and they both really enjoy this resort.

I stayed several times and never experienced any issues as described by other reviewers. The place was exceptionally clean with no issues, nothing in disrepair and a great pool area in addition to a nice workout area. Grills were available with cooking by gas, 2 pools one fresh water and one salt and two hot tubs with lifts for people that are disabled. The trails behind the complex were great for hiking. We felt like home even having a remote for our personal garage with a washer/dryer. I thoroughly recommend this location. If there was a unit issued that was in poor condition and unclean, I would have requested to be moved into another unit since the desk is open 24 hours. I am arriving to use a unit for a few overnight stays 11/2016

I'm only posting so low as this experience was very bad and needs to have the room addressed. This is now a World Mark and not at all like my last experience years ago. I am confused by the relationship shared by wyndham and RCI as I have heard various explanations. My stay was an RCI trade and the room was appalling. The onsite team was unable to make a change (as explained due to my RCI reservation and limited RCI rooms). Crazy as RCI and Wynham are supposed to be now in association. Luckily after effort from me RCI and the manager of a sister resort moved us out of this resort. The location is great for a south mountain view and hiking. Quiet area . Unfortunately the condition of the room is what is causing this poor rating . I am not sure who bears the responsibility to update , repair and ensure cleanliness of this room (RCi or Wyndham) but this accommodation if not addressed will continue to reflect poorly on both of them!

This is without comparision the absolute worst time share experience we have ever experienced. In fact, we checked in late on a Friday evening (after a canceled and subsequently delayed flight) and ended up leaving to find a hotel because our room was so bad. I have no idea how long ago the pictures were taken that advertise this property, but they clearly don't represent the actual conditions we encountered. Being 'aged' is one thing, being run-down, broken, and dirty is another. I had to wonder if the $50 cleaning charge they assessed us was diverted to the 'friendly staff' as a means of extorting a tip. I can assure you that it wasn't used to actually clean the room... The carpet hadn't been vacuumed, dining room chairs were broken, the cheap blinds masquerading as window coverings were bent and damaged to the point that they didn't close, bed linens were soiled and stained, trash littered throughout the patio area, etc... etc.... etc.... As I stated above, we were so freaked out with the condition of this property that we didn't even open our suitcases; we couldn't get out of this place fast enough!!! On a side note, I have never felt the need to leave a comment like this in my life! But if my comments can save another weary traveler from stepping into the 'filth' of this supposed resort, then it was worth my efforts.... I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find out this property is in bankruptcy... Let the buyer beware!!!!

Stained chair, dip in bed, blinds had been rigged instead of properly replaced. Other blinds did not work. Kinda went downhill since the last time we were there.

I stayed at the Desert Arroyo recently with my in-laws. The pool and the jacuzzi were a hit for my family.

I noticed workers in the area working on some townhouses. I hope during the renovation they put in the higher height toilets and more towel racks.
