I wholeheartedly recommend Delamar Mystic. This hotel goes beyond simply offering you accommodation during your stay in historic and charming Mystic; Delamar is an experience in and of itself. Newly constructed, this hotel is modern but maintains thoughtful and tasteful design. The nautical theme is present throughout, from the compass mosaic in the elevator, to the wooden boat suspended in the oyster bar, to the brass drawer handles shaped like boat knots. The style flows naturally with the beautiful blue Mystic River visible from every room, the lounge, and the hotel's restaurant, La Plage. The waterfront construction was not finished during our visit, but I am sure that the pool and outdoor seating will be beautiful additions.

The hotel is located on the eastern bank of the Mystic River and conveniently situated between Olde Mystic Village and Downtown Mystic, offering easy access to the Mystic Aquarium, shopping, restaurants, museums, and boating experiences. If you do not feel like driving, you can walk to most locations or take advantage of the free shuttle service provided by Delamar. Each time we called, we received a prompt pickup within ten minutes. Guests also receive free admission to the next door Mystic Seaport Museum, which offers exhibits on ship building in Mystic and an entire village of historic buildings filled with interesting exhibits and friendly, knowledgeable curators.

The finishing touch on Delamar Mystic is the exceptional hospitality. The staff are kind and polite, greeting us at every opportunity and actively seeking our feedback on our stay as they further refine this already outstanding experience. As someone who does not often stay in luxury hotels, I am so pleased to say that Delamar Mystic is worth the visit.

This Delamar had just opened less than a week before we visited. The dining room had not even had a chance to be open yet. That being said. This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The hotel was absolutely amazing. The interior design was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and took care of our every need. They even took the chance to strike up a conversation while we were hanging out in the lounge. The hotel was located on an estuary and overnight the water had frozen. We were able to watch 4 bald eagles have a meal on the ice with the binoculars each room provides.

The amenities and staff here are wonderful. Comfy beds, plenty of fluffy towels, robes, fine glassware, fruit and turndown service with chocolates. Splurge on the full river view not the partial which has a view of the generator. The hotel has valet parking, free lift into downtown, bubbly welcome drink, bellhop service and beautiful continental breakfast from Sift. We came on Monday so the Seaport was closed, but the aquarium was open and we hit happy hours at the Engine Room, Mix and Shipwright. Return rides ran until 10:45 pm. Even though the hotel is unfinished and the restaurant not yet opened, I would suggest coming now before it get’s busy…because it definitely will!

We weren’t originally planning to go to Mystic but booked this last minute and so glad we did! This hotel had just opened a week earlier. We reserved a deluxe king room and asked for top floor if possible. We got to the hotel early and they let us check in around 12:30 which was really nice of them. They gave us a top floor room. The room was really nice, brand new and I think we were the first to stay in it. It was on the side of the hotel and had views of the estuary and the neighborhood. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was roomy and the shower was nice and big. |The only down side was the commercial generator outside that came on at 3:30am. In the morning, I told the front desk what happened and asked if they had another room we could move to (they had no idea about the generator but were appreciative that we let them know). They felt so bad and ended up upgrading us to the Moonracer suite. They did not have to do that. They really went above and beyond. ||The Moonracer suite was amazing. It’s a corner room on the 2nd floor and has views of the estuary. There’s a living room, hallway with bathroom and a bedroom at the end of the hallway. The views were incredible. We saw 4 Bald Eagles the morning we checked out. The estuary had frozen over and they were on the ice eating. The rooms all have binoculars in them so you can view wildlife. ||The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. They gave us recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The restaurant wasn’t open for business yet but there was free breakfast each morning with pastries from Sift bakery. ||The hotel is walking distance to the downtown Mystic area. It’s about 1 mile but we enjoy walking so that’s not far for us. ||The hotel isn't completely done yet. They’re still working on the outside deck and pool area but it wasn’t a big deal for us. It was really cold and windy and nobody would’ve wanted to be outside anyways.

What a Gem of a place, stayed for a short birthday getaway, Quality service is hard to come by these days but this Staff gets it RIGHT ‼️ From the doorman to the front desk, they were not only friendly, but also helpful. The place is nestled right off the water, complimentary access to Mystic Seaport Museum which just adds to the overall experience, was a plus. The bed feels like a cloud, the detailing from the paintings to the bathroom accents, completely gorgeous. You will be replenished after staying here. Delamar group has once again added another gem to it's crown of hotels. I will be back.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened Delamar hotel in Mystic, Connecticut, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and attention to detail were evident. The food was exceptional, rivaling that of its sister hotel in West Hartford, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience.
Special mention must be made of the operations department, whose efforts were instrumental in creating such a smooth and luxurious stay. This hotel is a must-visit for anyone looking for a refined and unforgettable getaway.

Delamar Mystic is my new favorite hotel out of the Delamar Collection. This hotel is composed by detail. Every where you look, there is the smallest attention to detail. The feel is very warm and welcoming and clean. The bathrooms are stunning and have the most detail I have ever seen in any hotel bathroom (my favorite part was the tile in the shower!) It had a very luxurious feel yet I felt right at home. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I loved the little touch of binoculars at my bedside as well to look out at the water. The staff were very professional, warm, and welcoming. They were always very helpful with any questions. I cannot wait to return in season and enjoy their restaurant, La Plage!

We visited the Delamar Mystic for 1 night last week. We have stayed at other Delamar properties and were thrilled when we heard they were opening in Mystic. Our room had a picturesque view of the river and was cozy and luxurious (as we expect from a Delamar). The Mystic hotel is a jewel in the Delamar portfolio and we look forward to a longer visit soon!
