This place is a good spot for a nice dinner! The food, service, and atmosphere are all good. There are a few standout cocktails, like the “Jaaneman,” which is sweet and refreshing, and the “Bhund,” which is semi-sweet. The rest of the cocktails were just okay. The “Spicy Whiskey” was definitely the highlight, with its unique blend of spices like clove, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves. It was a refreshing and flavorful drink. The appetizers were also good, including the chilly potato and masala kabob. However, the non-vegetarian platter and paneer tikka could have been better. For the main course, I tried the Moti Mehal butter chicken, goat biryani, Chicken Andhra, and luccha parantha. All of these dishes were delicious and worth trying. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a good dinner just by yourself or with family and friends.

We just ordered the appetizers for the day’s lunch as a a takeout order. Never had such a bad experience of a taste! Chilli paneer was completely soaked in soy sauce which I had never seen before. I would suggest not to try this restaurant ever if you have your taste buds working! When raising it as a complaint, the person was rather laughing than being sorry. The quantity was less and fortunate that it was less since the food was very bad in taste!

Dear Delhi serves up flavorful food, with the soya chaap being a standout—it’s well-prepared and definitely worth trying. Most dishes here are tasty and satisfying, making it a good spot when you’re craving Indian flavors.

That said, the atmosphere can feel a little too quiet at times, which may not suit everyone looking for a lively dining vibe. Still, for those who prioritize good food over ambiance, Dear Delhi delivers on taste.

Had a great experience at this Indian restaurant! The service was excellent, and the food was incredibly flavorful. I loved that the menu included some unique options and flavors I haven’t seen at other Indian spots. The place was clean, and the addition of a bar was a pleasant surprise—definitely not something you find at most Indian restaurants. Highly recommend if you're looking for something delicious and a little different! We had the Dear Delhi Chat (app), Methi Chicken, Delhi Ka Kebab Paneer. We had a Farewell Party for one of our Colleagues here and we had a great time. We had a private area assigned for our group, and the Bartender did a great job. He was attentive and friendly, and ensured we all had a good time. Service overall was efficient. Appetizers tasted very good, but the Entrees were only above average, still it might be on us since most of us were already feeling stuffed with the Appetizers we had.

There was also Live Music at the Dining area, and we got to listen to some great songs and relax as a group.

Food was disappointing! Food pics on the website looked amazing and we were looking forward to dining here. We ordered Dahi kabab, okra fries, paneer tikka, palak patta chat, Amritsari kulcha, tomato soup, mango lassi, garlic naan and paneer tikka masala (gravy).
Dahi kabab and okra fries were not fried well. They looked and tasted uncooked. You could taste the raw flour. Palak chat was alright but the dahi used was watery which made the chaat a bit soggy. Paneer tikka was tasted good and was definitely better than the rest of the apps. Tomato soup, kulcha, garlic naan and paneer tikka masala were alright.
I would definitely not recommend this place or go back here.

Very interesting Indian restaurant, rather different from what we are all used to in NJ whenever Indian restaurants are concerned.

It's a stand-alone modern building of streamlined design, not your average strip mall eatery. The interior design is equally upscale, there are booths and regular table seating available. The furniture is new, there are no cheap Formica tables.
The lounge we haven't been to, so the review is about the restaurant section of Dear Delhi.
The only disconcerting element is a sizable TV blaring either American pop or contemporary Indian music.

There is a lot of parking, next to the main side entrance or at the back of the restaurant. There is also an outdoor dining section for nicer weather.

The menu is different too, not just the ubiquitous Chicken Tikka Masala or Malai Kebab. There are a few things on the menu that we haven't seen in any other Indian restaurants in the area, and we have visited dozens and dozens of restaurants specializing in Indian cuisine. Yes, we shall call Dear Delhi "a new Indian restaurant" indeed.
The food is flavorful, and tolerably spicy, with the portion sizes on a not all that generous side. But the lower prices make up for that.

The service is very friendly and for the most part efficient.

"Dear Delhi" features a full alcohol menu as well as non-alcoholic beers and mocktails.

The location is off Route 130, in what is alternately called either Dayton or South Brunswick.

Recommended.

This place is a hidden gem of Indian Restaurants in Jersey. Went for a lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of the menu. Both from the drinks to the food, the menu is quite unique.

The manager/owner was a great guy and he suggested few cocktails and we started with Pathaka, Lychee Martini and Lal Pari. All came out pretty tasty and unique.

Went with the Dear Delhi non vegetarian platter and Kasundi Mushrooms, the meat/fishes/Kababs were so juicy and tender; cooked to perfection. Kudos to the chef. The chef did an amazing job with the Kababs, making sure they are still juicy from inside and not too undercooked either.

Went on ordering Chicken Biriyani, Kosha Mutton, Anjeer Kofta, Chilly Garlic and Junglee Naan. It was so sumptuous and filling that we had to make half of the food to go. But can tell you without any hesitation that this can be one of the best Indian Restaurants in NJ if they keep up the quality and don’t compromise on the fantabulous and friendly service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…
