We had a room in the motel, which was obviously an older building but well-maintained, clean, and spacious. We were able to check in early, which we appreciated. Staff member Lisa told us about the tadpoles in the nearby creek, and we had a pleasant walk down to see them. Quiet atmosphere in the evening. Staying at Dean Creek Resort is much like staying at a summer camp! We recommend it highly.

We booked a riverside cabin for two nights but stayed only one; our overall experience was more rustic than anticipated and we left early. We were welcomed warmly upon arrival, and our cabin had an amazing view. The cabin was tight, however, notably the bathroom; with kitchen sink doing double duty as bathroom sink. If I could change anything, I would have greatly preferred light colored bed linens. The dark fabric bed linens in the cabin felt dated and made it impossible to tell if they were clean.

What a sweet hotel! The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. the bed was comfortable and the back porch looked out on the lawn below, great for relaxing after a day of exploring. Clean basic rooms with super nice people, what more do you really want?

Amazing place! Can't beat the price! Only 36 for a very large tent site with electrical hook up.

This place has everything you need! Pool, huge Jacuzzi, sauna, clean bathrooms with big showers, mini golf, horse shoes, a store, an arcade, laundry, a lounge room, a stage, and several sink stations.

There's Also access to the river from the camp where you can drive down to, as well as the creek. The river was warm and calm enough to swim, has some sandy beaches, and perfect for whatever your looking to do, whether it be swim, jump off rocks, fish, sun bathe ect.

The vibe was great, the place was beautiful, and the staff was nice as can be. The camp cats were also so sweet and so nice when they come visit. Very dog friendly, and family friendly.

The one thing I will say, is that if you are looking for a place that is super quiet, strict on rules, and catered to retirees, this is not the camp for you, at least not on holidays. We came memorial day weekend and the vibe was one of a big family party, with BBQs and cumbia music well into the night, the sound of drunk laughter and games past midnight, and kids on quads and dirt bikes from dawn to dusk, and splashing and playing in the pool most of the time. Babies cry, dogs bark, and the noises of life are around. I enjoyed that aspect,so for me it was a positive not a negative, and found that to be a nice change from how stuffy some resort camp grounds can be.

But if your looking for quiet and tranquil, I think you'll be disappointed.

But this is definitely a hidden gem I hope keeps it's magic for years to come!

The grounds guy is kinda mean, he thinks he owns the river and without looking to see if you've paid to drive thru their gate to get to river,he comes sliding in on his four wheeler screaming at you to pay and or get out..I had already paid, I was down there for a few minutes and left. He kinda made me not want to be there . I've been going to that river spot for YEARS MANY YEARS, and now if I go like I did before, id have to pay100 $ a month to go hang out at the river..I thought that you don't own the river up to the high water mark. That you could walk up rivers as long as you stayed below the high water mark. does anyone know if that is true? All of dean creaks river beaches are under the high water mark so as long as you don't go thru d.c property to get to river( by the bridge to the dump is a good spot) he can't say anything to you . This town is going to crap in a handbag . It would be cool to go back to my watering hole again, and not be attacked by someone who isn't even a longtime local. I've been going there since the 1970s, never had a problem til now, it really sucks..but I guess some people have God complexes and enjoy making people miserable. Other than that dean creak rocks! Have a nice day!

We stayed in #1 cabin. It looked put towards the river. We liked it.

A little over a mile to the Mateel Community Center for events. We had a larger room (6) with kitchenette. There are reg or standard rooms cabins, camping and RV spots. Open year round. Great hosts.

We've stayed in their sleeper cabins 4 times over the past three years. The location is close to the freeway but still beautiful and calm, with Eel river swimming hole and pool. They take very good care of their guests here and the office cats, Cashew and Peaches are always up for pets. Sleeper Cabins sleep 4 ( bunk beds), bring your own blankets and pillows ( yes the beds are a little squeaky- earplugs are great), also fridge, microwave and AC. More importantly they have a porch, a bench and a fire pit. They have amenities that we haven't utilized before ( due to time constraints) like a mini golf course, sauna and vintage arcade. It really is a great colorful place to stay either as a destination or a pit stop on your 101 road trip.
