Staff was very friendly. Location was good. Room was clean & orderly with all the necessary items. However, there was a distinct smell of animal urine. To be fair, we were travelling with our dogs & I had requested a ground floor room. I'm sure they try to place guests with pets in the same rooms in case an animal urinates on the carpet. That's understandable. Maybe they need to invest in some febreeze or odo ban between each guest's stay. Having said that, it's our first time travelling with our dogs and I'm grateful for pet friendly hotels. We paid an extra untaxed $15 for each dog on top of the cost of the room. I found that to be a fair price. Parking lot was safe. Our vehicle was locked overnight but in the morning we realized my husband had left his wallet on the dashboard of our truck overnight. Other guests were friendly as well. I felt safe taking my pups out by myself to potty at night.

Pretty decent hotel, very big, didn’t smell like smoke, no critters. Clean nice room. Wasn’t ghetto at all. Will definitely rent again.

It was a good place to stay the rooms were clean and tidy, the breakfast was light but good , the lady that works during the day was nice and helpful,, now the night guy wasn't helpful at all and was lazy but overall a great experience will use again in the future.

Ok for the money. Stains on sheet and dingy looking towels. Other than that, room was clean. A/C worked great, coffee maker in room, quiet and I felt safe. Shower was good. Restaurants and shopping nearby. Convenient to historic Route 66 and a few classic restaurants on Route 66.

Great nights sleep! Clean rooms and the lady at the front desk suggested a great place to eat. Very thankful and helpful! If I'm ever in the area again, it'll be where I stop!

From my trip diary:
Oh dear God, what a dump. The room stinks. I’m not sure of what, because it’s not smoke, nor is it urine, but it stinks. The best description I can come up with is that it smells sour. The desk chair will not adjust, so my feet barely touch the floor when I sit in it. The right arm rest of the chair is coming off, and if I try to lean back in it, I go to nearly a 45 degree angle, and am afraid I will topple over. There is no night stand on one side of the bed. It has a clock, but the cord was tucked into a drawer in the one night stand. We plugged it in and set the time. I plugged the night light into the outlet in the vanity area, but it fell out. I had to use the bottom plug, which was weak, but held up. The hand towel rack in the vanity area is held on by a thread, and bounces around every time we use a towel. The television didn't work. We tried to call the front desk, but the keypad on the room phone was dead. The desk clerk (a lovely, lovely lady) came to the room. We had to pull the furniture out to discover that the television had been disconnected, and between the three of us we figured out what plug went where so we could hook it back up.This is the first place we have been on this trip that I feel actively uncomfortable.

The only complaint I had was the musty smell. Otherwise, the breakfast was adequate, and cleanliness, location, and service were great. Super easy check in process, and super friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit.

I arrived on the evening of April 12, 2024.
The nightshift desk clerk was not very helpful about giving me the room of my choice.
And he's pretty sketchy. I advise the owner to keep an eye on him and the day shift manager.
I had a dog with me and he said the pet fee was $10 which he would not allow me to out on the card with the rest of the bill. He said it needed to be CASH!
I asked for a receipt and he told me he couldn't give me one until morning.
"Sooo...what? You don't tell your owner the customer had a pet and you pocket the cash? And maybe you and your day manager split the proceeds? I'm going to report you."
Then the desk clerk became accommodating to give me a better room.
The next morning, the $10 pet fee was listed on the receipt but I suspect because I told him I would report it so he knew I will be looking to see if they put it on the receipt.
Some people might think it's not my business, but I don't like to see workers steal from employers - if you feel you deserve more money, ask for a raise or find another job.
Theft causes businesses to fail or to have to raise prices.
So, if you own this place, begin scrutinizing what's done there more carefully.
