I have always heard good things about Dagny’s, so I met a friend for coffee the other day.

The building is located in a good area with lots of parking, so that was nice.

The food case had me nearly drooling but I wasn’t hungry enough to eat anything - this time!

I’d love to go back to try a latte and a pastry. This time, I ordered a simple chai. The blend wasn’t to my taste, but chai can be tricky so I won’t judge based on that one single drink.

We sat outside and let the world pass us by for a while. The seats are comfortable and the ambiance was nice and quiet. People were chatting away but were polite enough ti keep their voices down. No one seemed to bother anyone else.

Staff were polite and attentive. They engaged with regulars and I could tell why so many people recommend Dagny’s.

There were some windows covered and the building is old, but it was refreshing to be in a successful cafe that didn’t rely on a pretty storefront for business. It was authentic and well loved. I was very happy with my visit.

I will 100% return to try the food, enjoy the laid-back feel, and likely go through a few coffees! I’ll update my review at that time as well.

I love this location the vibes are great and they always play the best music. If you’re a student looking for a place to study I would definitely recommend this place. I got an iced matcha latte that I would rank 6/10 only because I tried so many Matcha that were ceremonial grade. If you’re a matcha enthusiast I would not recommend the matcha here but everything else seems great.

Parking is super easy here.

The staff and locals were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxed, hip and comfortable.

The matcha was amazing and they have tons of flavors to pick from.
I added a shot of blueberry to my matcha which I’ve never done before and it was great.

This place is whatever, but it has a 4.5 so I guess it is good for Bakersfield...

Went in to get a coffee while exploring beautiful downtown Bakersfield. The barista was not stoked that we bothered him with an order. Burnt Americano, didn't finish it. Boring iced chai, didn't finish it.

Using the restroom was worth the tip but the service wasn't.

Errrr, take you chance, maybe.

Honestly this is the best place ever if you just want to chill out and work on something or meet up with a friend. I think it’s a coffee house in the way Starbucks claimed it wanted to be. Truly one of the last bastions of community spaces.
