Our service was perfection and the food was delicious. Topped it off with yet another delicious fave Homemade from scratch banana pudding. Posted a picture of this dessert.

Cupboard Cafe used to have lines out the door. Cute store and great country cooking. Yeah, the servers could be down right rude at times, but the food made it worth it. More recently, under a new owner the lines are gone and getting a seat is no problem. The heart of this establishment is gone unfortunately. The food is still good, basically the same. The menu got cut WAY back though. Not a huge deal as the staples are all still there. One super weird thing the new owner did was to switch to bottled sodas. Mind you, they have a working fountain. The new owner also owns a walk up BBQ joint which sells bottle sodas so he figured that would work in a sit down restaurant also. Wrong. Does not work. Also, you may get a 20oz or you may get a 16oz (see photo). Same price. Want another? Buy another bottle. The owner told me you should be fine with 20oz of drink at lunch. 😆

We stopped on a Friday hoping to try the banana pudding and squash casserole. They don't serve either on Friday! If you're interested in trying something you read about in a review, I'd call ahead to make sure they're serving it that day.
We did have the Blue Ridge chicken sandwich and the Ultimate burger. Both were amazingly delicious!

The food has been great every time I’ve eaten there, and they have wonderful desserts, but I ordered a slice of cheesecake to take home to my husband for Valentine’s Day, and I expected a restaurant-sized dessert serving. Instead: the world’s tiniest slice, embarrassingly small. I expected twice that size, but made the mistake of not looking in the takeout box until after we left, when it was too late. So I had to find another dessert elsewhere for him. I know they can do better.

My mom and I had lunch here today and this is a must stop while in Dillard, it is such a cute and welcoming restaurant. The food was perfectly delicious and southern. My mom enjoyed her fried chicken (leg and thigh) and my country fried steak was cooked perfectly. We appreciated the southern hospitality from our server Mason, very polite and kind. I look forward to coming back next time I’m in the area and you cannot beat the prices.

The food was impressive! Everything we had tasted fresh and made from scratch. Service was great, the patio was beautiful and dog friendly. Good vegetarian options. The desserts looked incredible and everything was priced very reasonably.

Stopped on our way through and so glad we did. The wait was a while but we'll worth it. The food was so so good. Got some banana pudding to go and it did not disappoint. Cute little store, amazing food, and wonderful service. Will definitely stop again if going through.

The Country Cupboard Restaurant in Clayton, GA is one of my favorite restaurants. The menu is amazing! There’s a variety of food and it’s always delicious. I go to the casino in Cherokee, NC with my wife six or seven times a year. I always look forward to going to this restaurant!
